Quite appropriate that DonaldTrumpsWig posts the best advice then, about just holding to see those little red dots and identifying value before the market sees it. I topped up at 123 before I left and I’ve another couple of weeks here and I’m fairly relaxed about the short term drift down seeing this as a long term hold because I believe the early very positive results will add significant value and it’s just a question of when the market, institutional investors or big pharma cotton on. Hi mowzerrocks, in the poster presentation for AVA3996 it mentions peripheral neuropathy as one of the dose limiting side effects that can be avoided by AVA3996 releasing its active proprietary proteasome inhibitor AVAV2727D. In a head to head study, AVA2727D kills cancers cells (ex-vivo) as effectively as bortezomib (Takeda's Velcade). One of the drugs you mentioned with this as a side effect.

For anyone not aware this article describes the significant long term neurological disabilities and mobility problems even a short course of treatment with proteasome inhibitors can cause.

Avacta are demonstrating that their delivery system can release active chemo at the tumour which limits the cell killing effects to tumours. With Dox the side effect of main significance is cardiotox but with proteasome inhibitors it is peripheral neuropathy.

Individually AVA6000 or AVA2996 are exciting because they provide better alternatives to billion dollar drugs but together they demonstrate that AVACTA have a pipeline of potential money making ‘golden eggs’. I hope big Al sets out today how they are going to progress these to market - ideally with some indication of timescales and/or likelihood of either being fast tracked?

I don’t think they will exclude have excluded participants with STS from the current dose escalation phases. Any such participant would be watched even more closely as they are looking at recruiting such participants into the next phase as this might indicate just how effective this prodrug could be.

Al did say in his Vox interview that they’d be looking at showing the pathway forward for AVA6009 soon. Could be next week with the results and some forward looking statements?

RNS notifying significant shareholding? Building a position?
Or one stating that the company is aware of recent press speculation and while it can confirm they are in talks no guarantee of an offer etc? (For the company or for one of the lead drug candidates).
Reverse takeover ? (How does that work??)
Participants taking part in cohorts show they are in remission?
Cohort at an even higher dose of dox? plus reiterating lack of side effects toxicity at what has already been trialed ?
End of year results with more details - forward looking statements?

Hi Wiggy, I’ve just rewatched the Vox interview that Al did where he mentions any potential future partnership. My thoughts are he is canny enough to not want to sell out the whole company as he’d like to keep at least a part of any potential future royalties. I’m looking forward to his update today. GLA

Although the focus (for me at least on here) has been on AVA6000 as this is the lead drug candidate, the much more exciting prospect could well be AVA3996. Avacta has ongoing studies that are examining this proteasome inhibitor could reveal some startling data. Looking up the active drug bortezomib AVA3996 contains, I came across a reference to one pharmacodynamic study, where more than 75% of proteasome inhibition was observed in whole blood samples within one hour after dosing of bortezomib!

LSE news today “The US trial sites will initially contribute patients to the dose escalation phase, while being uniquely positioned to lead the enrolment of soft tissue sarcoma patients in the phase 1b dose expansion stage of the AVA6000 study when this begins”.

Volume also tends to increase as a position is taken prior to making an offer. Not sure that’s what’s going on here though. Much more likely an influx of SIPP and ISA cash.
