Noggers - the Joules update was more than enough for me to downsize my position. My problem is that I usually dont cut positions quicl enough. Having seen Microfocus go from £17.68 to £2.60+, I know what bad updates can do to share prices. I am expecting good sales figures but a miss on margins.... I really dont know how they only downgraded margins by 0.5%.

Not buying more til at least after the results.

I've been too many times in shares up to results day and have held only to find they go down 10-20%. I habe absorbed the £50k loss and its my responsibility - I am unhappy at no one else. But I do think this will fall into results day. I really did not think inflation would habe affected these kimd of shares so much.

Sputhcoast bather - Pe ratio doubled because profits halved. At the moment PE ratio is 21 or something.... but it depends on how much money they make!

I wish I acted sooner. This is why its so important to keep an eye on the share price. God knows where it will be by January.

the rise today is almost across the board only many other shares that were massacred yesterday have rallied 2-3 proportionately higher.

Guys - the comparison is the bottom line. That's all investors really worry about. I fear that the revised EBITDA guidance is too optimistic given the increase in costs. Joules down 20% on decent results is very worrying. Boohops slide on profits has been greater (-64%).

very reluctant to trim because its a good company. like i said joules results and boohoo wont be miles apart.

by the way not saying what happened with joules will happen here... but their update looked positivw albeit profits halved.

Have trimmed my position. Have been the other side of a profits warning too many times in the past with 20% drops in one day. Joules trading 35% higher in terms of sales but profits halved = 20% drop in share price this morning. That's enough for me.

punchy sales figures welcome but hopefully not profits more than halving....

Sterowlands - they dont give a monkeys ... we're private investors - we buy shares and take the risk. As they say 'get over it'.

Not sure where this will settle but £1.30-£1.40 range looking likely unfortunately. Not topping up at the moment....

Shares of course can go to £0.00 though have to admit this is going down faster for some reason and its not just shorts. Carillion, Debenhams, Marconi provide illustrative examples. In this case Boo is none of them - the last update was quite positive and its certainly not a company going to the wall. In my experience though when one update is a profit warning, its usually followed by another - RMG being a classic case. Not sure hpw further down it can go....

logistics costs- yes - but some businesses have fatter margins than Boo.

SCB always presented hard data and facts - more than most.

Lloys is now where I sold them at 44.5p.

stringvest. I don't flip from long to short. I personally dont understand why anyone wpuld short at these prices. I'm extremely annoyed at the continual slide.
