Oh yes - I read the last updafe and thought - great investment. Then read it again and the downgrade of margins by 0.5% truly was tbeir undoing... it was a target waiting to be missed.

This line suggests a profit warning #3 - cannor invest in Boohoo no matter how cheap it looks on the surface. The issues facing Boohoo will get worse before getting better:
"This reflects our expectation that the factors impacting our performance in the Period persist through the remainder of the financial year, and recent developments surrounding the Omicron variant could pose further demand uncertainty and elevated returns rates particularly in January and February."

I sold at £50k. Had I stayed in for three more days my losses would have been £180k by my calculations. Southcoastbather is probably nursing losses in excess of that. I know how I would feel....

I checked and not a single post from Southcoastbather. I hope he/she is ok. I do worry about those that go totally silent. I know many won't care a less. I don't think the shennigans of the last few days are entirely legal. Tke care all - keep safe.

Thing you got to answer is whether the next update will be better or worse than this one. I would guess worse as nothing has improved in terms of supply chains.

The employee scheme is pretty much a fraud. set at a price just before this horrendous update. It's largely worthless now.

Agree FTSE 12. The golden era is gone. No point investing in warehousing for £5 billion sales if sales growth is halving and return rates are going up. BUT it could improve if governments are serious about inflation - at the moment their solution is lockdowns!

Rich - if I was using others money probably. A guidance that shows sales growth has halved in less than 3 months does not look like it will go any way other than down. Hopefully not another profit downgrade in the next few months.

If I was one of those big shorting companies - it makes sense to continue shorting. More profits warnings to come I think.

Kitchen sinked - heard that term so many times - capita being the one thats comes to mind. That share was over £6.00 and its 30 pence (or thereabouts). The second last trading date looked very positive but the one earlier this week was god awful. This could go a lot lower. The delays caused by logistical problems can really harm their reputation and those return rates suggest unhappiness with the quality of the product.

Richthenewbie - I changed my mind for a number of reasons. No. 1 reason was the last margin downgrade was an own goal. Their forecasters need fired!
