Masaballoon - great for you - ley me guess you work for Royal Mail? If so, the £530 million profit - if it comes close to that, will look more like £0 profit next year. RMG need to get a grip of the situation - the share is down 60% for a good reason and its not just Brexit!!!! It's the lack of any movement on the part of management to reduce the dividend and invest more in the business. If you got a 7% pay rise - are you 7% more productive - if its Royal Mail, the answer is no. Based on productivity developments, pay rises shouldnt be any more than 0.1%. This share price is sadly heading to £2 and maybe then Rico might get fired and someone who can write better more informative RNSs might take over. We need technocrats not tittsupcrats.... we need serious people not bluffers

The EU - which I have no great love of - have used the backstop to protect Irish and EU interests. The DUP are a hideous far right no no no party for which I have zero respect. At the moment the UK parliament look like they could fit into One flew over the cuckoos nest. The backstop is the bottom line. A no deal would floor some of these shares.... are we witnessing something like the ERM fallout.

Automatic assumption is that if you get rid of unions, you'll be treated like shite! Wrong. Every company I have worked in, I've never been part of a union except my current job - funny how my pay rises have been capped below inflation (1%) for every single year I've worked here. Unions are useless - fact!!! So I have been taking 7 years of a pay cut in real terms. What good have unions been in France, Spain, Italy - where wages are pathetic in service based industries. Sorry - if Royal Mail want to grow and make a profit - unions have to go alongside the USO - which is outdated as we continue to move into the digital age!

Atrocious - across the board - politicians infighting is leading the country into uncertainty and chaos. I see Belfast highstreets yesterday - desserted because the UK Government are set on a determined path to bring violence, discord and anarchy back to our streets. If there is a hard Brexit, I will sell up and move back to Ireland, which seems to be run by sensible people with cool heads. This uncertainty is killing confidence!

Well RMG playing to the Government (USO obligations) and trade unions and shareholders is a recipe for disaster. I regret the day I came upon this company as we're going to be here years to see £3.00 again.

And Brexit has nothing to do with it - neither has Fedex or UPS - what shareholders apart from anoraks read that Fedex has gone so I must sell my shares. As far as I can see - once it breaks below the £2.70s, £2.60s and £2.50s it seems to go down by around 10 pence - surely that isnt about shareholders acting like sheep?

Anyone know why AIB down so much considering tomorrow us ex-dividend day. It makes zero sense that it should be down at all.

UPS beat expectations - FedEx didn't. Don't know what point there is comparing two or three companies in a similar industry but totally different context.

This share has single handedly eliminated the gains from my portfolio of 8 shares - loss on £80k outweighing gains on 170k. Unbelieveable! Though its now one of the best value stocks on the FTSE.

No reduction or increase in shorts - the SP rise is all confidence related. That is reassuring. I've now got another £10k from sale of shares to put somewhere. Looks like this is the best place to put it.

This is like no other share on the stock market. Rises quickly then dribbles into the close. All of my other shares solidifying their position this afternoon.

Doubt it will be near £2.70...

Well - this is usually around the time that stock prices tend to go down. Shall it repeat the same pattern... I am calling it £2.6790 close.

In fact most stocks are super cheap....

It will be interesting to see if yesterdays gains are maintained. Despite the rise - this is very low.
