I feel that controlling our population to a sustainable level for this planets resources is the main problem to solve over the next millennia .I hope that we can achieve this by peaceful means. I think that I have done my bit, in that all my children are our foster children. Mind you ,our children have produced 5 grandchildren ! I feel that every child must be a wanted child.

But as a liberal I am happy to listen and consider other points of view.

Shares bought in dollars . barclays dictate the exchange rate. can't buy instantly but just 'at best' So if pound down an dollar up I suppose I gain.

I own a few apple shares. Bought via Barclays in a share isa.

I am a LTH .I am ,unfortunately, not optimistic that Vesarian will still be trading this time next year. I probably should sell, but hope springs eternal.

Probably not a good sign, but I have bought a few more Centamin shares. They do seem cheap. Are there problems in Egypt that are depressing the shares ? I think I am tempted to increase my holdings at these levels. But then again I though Marconi shares were cheap before the went bust !

Sry I should have said I returned to work during covid, but I am now back in full retirement .

I am a retired UK GP. I retired to work during Covid, but I am now back in full retirement . I think that the vaccine was a very good thing particularly for people over 50 and those in poor health. Without the vaccine many millions of particularly old people would have died. I agree that for healthy young people the relative risk of death or even long term damage were reasonably low. But, in my view the vaccine and being able to have diagnostic testing were good things . But as with most things, individuals need to assess risks. For instance at 73 yo I really should not be riding my CBF 1000 Honda motor cycle !!!

But how politically stable is the Doporo project ? The gold is in the ground , but can the profit be exported?

Thanks. Price of gold is the major determinent for Centamin share price. I have recently bought some Barrick Gold as I can now buy US and Canadian shares with my Barclays account. Egyptian inflation is high and presumably this will affect Centamin 's wage costs. I think I may tend to buy more US and Canadian shares as I am not optimistic about UK economy post Brexit and with a probable labour Government in the fairly near future. I might consider further property investment next year if buy to let property becomes much cheaper. My main financial concern are future care cost in old age for my self and my wife ! Cost at the start and the end of life are very expensive !!!

My hope is that they be bought out by someone with very deep pockets and long time horizon. Would be nice if Apple spent some of there excess millions here. . But unfortunately I along with others probably have a complete loss here. I wonder if this was a US company ,would it have been bought out ???
