Having held since the RJB days I have finally sold. Low dividend . UK housing and growth not good and I think that there are better investment opportunities . I hope I do not have FOMO, good luck to holders. Bye.

With a market cap of 47 billion and about 40 employees, that should make for some rich employees.

Now able to trade again, bought a few more Suncor shares, a Canadian shale oil company. I am a bit nervous about buying more gold miners until I see a sustained up tick in the price of Gold in US dollars.

I can't trade with Barclays this morning because of an outage on their 'smart' app, a bit annoying. Last year very good for gold and other precious metal miners, this year not so good. I am tending to buy more energy related stocks this year.

Buying a few more

I have bought a few. Most of my ISA share portfolio is in mainly precious metal mining stocks. 2025 was a very good year for my stocks. Trump has messed 2026 up so far. Hopefully the world will survive until November when he may be constrained, if that is possible.. I feel impeachment is coming.

Like most I have lost money in this share, aka the Gatwick gusher ,in the past. The only person to have made money is SS. I find it odd that this share is still trading.

The problem with most mining companies is that they can be in difficult countries and once they are profitable, be held to ransom by the counties that they operate in.

The Gatwick gusher was when UK gas and oil thought that they had found nationally significant oil deposits near Gatwick at Horse hill in 2015, the share price shot up. It turned out that the oil was only a trickle and the shares now are almost valueless . But we do know that there is a significant amount of Tin in this company . Tin will always be needed. If they can produce the tin at a profitable price then I hope that this company has a long term future.

I am in, but I do remember the Gatwick gusher and that did not end well for UK gas and oil.
