There are some very healthy commitments between us, and concerns are justified, but the asset hasn’t gone anywhere. Delisting was always going to be expensive, and unfortunately became necessary when the money could have been spent elsewhere in far more imaginative ways. I still feel that we are involved in an exciting project that has a huge potential. From the outset I decided that this was most probably going to be a particularly rocky road, but one with outstanding opportunities..so far that seems to be a fairly accurate assessment....gla

Thinking positively, there will have been 5 weeks planning ahead of next Friday. I fully expect interviews, podcasts, tweets and rns wordings to have been VERY carefully considered, in order to maximise the opportunity. We will finally receive the full ss details, and hopefully updates as well. The institutions that have been made aware of this information are able once more to trade. LR can then proceed as he wanted to in what feels like an age ago.

Yes Terry I believe that is exactly what will happen,It’s been a problem for a long time. The reason I am so confident is that the airlines will want to invest heavily in the technology that edge them ever closer to the ultimate goal of half a dozen single pilot flights monitored by a single pilot on the ground -saving them huge amounts, easing crewing problems and solving the pilot shortage issues. 240,000 additional pilots needed for Asia alone in the next 20 years equates to circa 750,000 additional pilots worldwide(Boeing figures). I expect the pilot dms to be recorded in an additional black box, allowing both crash investigators and dms providers a wealth of newdata. if only we knew of someone who has chip that is already proven and could be fitted into every aircraft worldwide at eye watering expense...plus additional charges for monitoring...now there’s a thought to brighten up the day...however before we get ahead of ourselves the certificate of safety for aircraft is slow to get, but speeded up by testing it extensively on simulators ...

It reads like a done deal to me as well, but when you look at the detail thats not what it says, they are now seeking the green light by March 14 to put this forward for discussion by the full Council. Are you assuming that having got through today, the rest of the process is simply procedural, if that’s the case then it’s irrelevant either way and there is no problem, but that was not my expectations of the process.

The piece that you posted goes on to say “this draft law...” and under next steps, at the end of the report concludes with once approved this legislation will replace current regulations ie no final approval as yet and so far nothing is mandated. I have read that as the end is in sight but we’re not there yet, despite the slightly confusing “will become “ wording that you highlighted.

So assuming it does get the green light by March 14, the final discussion and eventual vote can begin and hopefully conclude by May elections

Terry I acknowledge and agree with all you said, but was questioning the Redeye tweet.
Today’s vote was ‘only ‘ the imco committee albeit made up of mep’s. Today they agreed to progress the etsc recommendations, that is not the same as the EU mandating changes to new vehicles, which is why I questioned why there was expectations of the market reacting today.

Why would the market have much reaction today, surely nothing has changed beyond completing a further step towards achieving mandatory requirements for new vehicles. I would expect the reaction to be following the final step in the process ( possibly by May elections) the Redeye tweet is therefore surely wrong or am I living up to my pseudonym...

What better information is there to record than what was( or wasn’t) the driver looking at moments before the collision

Terry, so we broadly agree the figs (albeit yours are more up to date ) the point I was making is that if the Eu mandates dms then simply using numbers of vehicles sold in the Eu is likely to underestimate our market.

Terry, further to your Eu market size post, I understand that Mercedes sold. 0.465 million trucks in 2017 and have 36% of the market

Terry, ref your 16:52 some basic figs on the Eu market appears to be...
Light commercial vehicles 1.55million,
trucks/ busses 0.4million
Cars 12.5million (but if you include efta of swis,Norway,Liechtenstein and Iceland then 15.6 million)
However, I would assume that the production lines will be standardised so for our purposes these figs will probably increase to all vehicles manufactured rather than just those sold in the EU

Maps, Thanks for the link, that’s quite an impressive vehicle. A premium off-road ev with level 3 capabilities I cannot imagine would be given a cheap dms. I would be very surprised if we didn’t end up adding this to our list of successes.
