I though ex divi date was today doh! they are sitting now in my ISA account so looks like I will be getting the divi for 20K's worth in my ISA.
Just had it confirmed by Halifax that selling and transferring shares into my ISA today means the divi will be paid in my ordinary share account and not in my ISA.
If I transfer the ISA limit today do I get the divi in my ISA account??
Hexam, brilliant, thanks for taking the time and effort to explain.
Sorted with my broker so please ignore previous messages.
Apologies for this question but have not been following what's going on. I seem to have had some of my ordinary shares transfer into shares to fund the rights issue, these shares are £1+ and are shown as having lost value already. There is some mention of £4.10 price which I think is what the EZJ buyer offered. The guidance appears to be to buy these shares. What happens to these shares after the rights issue. I am more than a little confused.
Apologies for this question that I am sure has been answered before. I haven't kept up with what's happening. So it looks like some of my old shares have transferred into shares to fund the rights issue. They are showing at £1+ in my account and show they have lost value already. A week to decide whether to buy these, I don't understand what the £4 price is that people are referring to. The guidance on line seems to be to accept the shares. In plain English can someone help me understand a little better.
I guess as hopeful, optimistic shareholders, working on the scant information we have been given, we have all been guilty of that to some extent. It has taken an extraordinary amount of time for me to not believe it any more.

Hi btb, yes, a very poor investment from my point of view also. Too much "this time next year Rodders" coming from JC. On the positive side, I met some really nice people who were fellow shareholders... Oh and the chocolate brownies were good at the AGMs although they ought to have been as they cost me a few thousand for each one.
Hi all, sold everything this morning, it certainly has been a rocky ride. Last straw was SS going, Directors don't resign if there is hope imo. I have no confidence in this Company or product. I do wish everyone still holding the very best of luck.
Thanks grumpy, I will do that.
Can anyone help please. My shares are held in an ISA, when we get the cash return I am assuming that I won't be able to use that cash within my ISA account again as it will work like a dividend and I am already maxed out on ISA's this year. So I will end up losing the cash from its current tax free status… have I got this right?
here is the bit that is missing: Ultimately though it will be the massive fair value mark up in Fortune Oil's holding in China Gas Holdings which will catch the attention in a few months time. And it's not as if the shareholding isn't a solid investment as China Gas Holdings continues to expand its share of the domestic piped gas market and now has over 7m connected piped gas users and assets worth more than £3bn. To give you some idea of the scale of the operation, China Gas Holdings has 20,000 employees who work on a total of 170 natural gas projects, nine natural gas pipeline transmission projects, one natural gas exploration project, and 44 liquid petroleum gas distribution projects. It's a truly vast operation not to mention a profitable one too with the group’s pre-tax profits soaring over 70 per cent to £185m in the six months to end September 2013. What is also clear is that Fortune Oil is being chronically undervalued. A bargain rating of 0.33 based on the last set of accounts woefully underestimates the true book value of the company given the hidden value in the shareholding in China Gas Holdings. Buy.
here, this is a good medium term investment and it will get past 50p soon imv
MB11, that is what I call a good ramp … lol
You are welcome guys.
Just a brief post on my impressions on yesterday - all imo dyor caveats on here of course. Very assured performance by the BoD. I was expecting a presentation but they had decided to just take questions. Their strategy was re-iterated that they intend to extract maximum value from land by improving the value of land. Whether that be by land acquisition/planning/sale and or house building. There is far more profit for them in the former. House building will be an integral part of the business and 250/pa new homes is a good number for them. The environment is excellent for them at the moment. The CEO was absolutely glowing (well as glowing as Steve can appear lol) about the recent land acquisition of Wilton Park. He stated that it was a fantastic opportunity and from the description it will be highly sought after. Cash remains king for this Company with a healthy paranoia towards it, having experienced a torrid time at the financial crash and very nearly being put out of business by RBS. It is clear that they never want the Company to go through that pain again. As for the incentive programme being voted on soon, I haven't seen the documentation yet but as well as profit targets, there are targets for sp growth. I think the Chairman said 35% 12 months from the implementation scheme, 15% for the next 12 months and then 10-20% for the next 12 months. I need to check these numbers and also the base sp that the increases will be based on. If anyone has the detail perhaps they can share it. NAV was discussed with a reminder by the Chairman that NAV is affected by profit/assets and the land they bought several years ago is not quoted in the financials at todays book value - hence underlying profit is not currently benefiting from this but will as soon as it is sold. Very confident looking BoD and that was a summary of the highlights for me.
opportunity here today. Looking forward to AGM as well as normal housing shares 1st qtr rally. This is long term hold for me and can't blame the profit taking. Lots of that happens on the way up. Excellent fundamentals imo dyor etc.
here, I am planning on going to AGM next week so if anyone is interested I could give some feedback.
