As an aside, a bit disappointed with the move away from UK domicile and paying less tax.

Which I appreciate is counter-intuitive as a Solgold shareholder.

A sign of the times though. All companies offshoring, UK infrastructure and services being sold overseas, everyone buying their stuff from Amazon, Temu etc.

Then we complain about the lack of UK tax revenue and our 3rd-rate facilities and services etc.

Perhaps the answer is to take the £1 a share and move to Switzerland too?!

This RNS could have been released anytime in the last c. month. Given the news about Solgold Canada Inc.

It is being released now to deflect from the lack of TAM results.

I'd have no problem with TAM drilling and assays continuing into September. No problem at all. Particularly if Solgold are looking to extend the drill programme.

What frustrates is it was only 2 weeks ago that Solgold said they would report the results from remaining holes in August.

You can expect an RNS within the timeframe the company has said news would be announced.

If this is missed, you can expect follow-up RNSs soon after.

Weekly/fortnightly RNSs are common in exploration companies as drilling progresses. Look at the updates Solgold gave when Alpala and Porvenir were being drilled.

My point was a steady release of relevant RNSs would continue to appreciate the SP.

Really disappointed at lack of RNS (noting it could still land today).

For me, all about managing expectations in the market. Then showing you can reliably deliver on (very recent) statements.

I'm speculating, but suggests to me nothing 'exceptional' from holes 57,59,60,61, else would have had a standalone RNS for these? Core samples were sent off 2+ weeks ago.

Would have preferred to keep momentum up and one RNS this week, then another in next week or two (even if that is past the August delivery Solgold management recently announced).

I found SEDAR for TSX a bit clunky/archaic, but would have thought RNS Submit would be bullet-proof.

Well, you better hope SOLG don't cancel it from the queue before 7am, else you'll be left with an EV and solar panels!

ProfitSniffer - with the TSX listing now having gone, presumably the only option for RNS information would be the RNS Submit website?

I would guess that is a bit more secure that this site?!

(I may be wrong and once in RNS Submit it is disseminated to market data providers straight away - rather than at the official time of release, e.g. 7am. But sharing with potentially 100s of data providers seems at risk of abuse, hence why I assume remains in secure LSE systems until announced?)

Jack - the Solgold Board meets c12-16 times a year. So you've got a reasonable chance of being correct.

RodneyT - whilst I wouldn't be "worried" if Solgold don't annouce the results of the remaining TAM holes tomorrow, I would be (very) disappointed.

Any limp excuses about delays in lab etc. (when clearly the initial drilling had been delayed) would remind me of the 'old' Solgold. I'd hoped we're past that.

Solgold also need to RNS an update on ExploreCo. The 17th July update said "update is expected in the coming week(s)". 6 weeks is pushing it.

Understand ExploreCo may be being impacted by concession tax and discussions with Govt. But in my view, the company has an obligation to communicate this?

A shame to see the weeks earlier gains drift away. Would hope RNSs are lined-up to push the SP on.

After weekend chat about the scale of the silver deposit, it was interesting to see the US put both Silver (and Copper) on their draft list of critical minerals:

I know Ecuador is a bit further away than Mexico for the US, but Silver has been added in case of disruption to Mexico supply.

I'd argue it would have been replaced by the expectations set using the official wording in the 15th April RNS that Pbow has posted.

Sorry Damers - also saw your reference to the "approximate" timescales after I typed my post.

I think the market is pedantic though. It does mark-down companies and management who don't deliver what they say they will, by when, and to cost. Suspect Pbow's project/construction background means it is an area he focuses on when evaluating performance.

Anyhow, hoping for more positive news this week.

It's clear to see Pbow is correct - fewer holes drilled and fewer metres than the original 15th April RNS said would be completed by early August ("approximately").

I guess it could be argued we've had results earlier though - drip-fed to appreciate the SP - rather than all at end-August.

It's clear to me that SOLG still need to focus on delivering what they say they will. Demonstrate to the market that they can deliver to timetable.

I don't think Pbow's observations are unfair.

Pbow - as you say, positivity is more relief that someone is getting the basics done again.

And Dan certainly gives the impression he knows he needs to demonstrate progress to the market. Much better visibility than Scott.

Yes, the ExploreCo news due "in the coming week(s)" after 17th July is likely delayed due to Govt tax challenges. Fine.

But the next test of Dan's management is the "Receive and report assays from Hole 57 and other pending holes in August" statement from the 15th Aug RNS.

Feels a lot to get done and reported in the next week.

Miss the end-Aug commitment and I feel it is back to Solgold's over-promise and under-deliver. Dan appears to have done a good job of trying to move away from this approach.
