Why is that even a question ..if MIIF are going to invest millions it will be at an agreed price for an equity stake not bought in the market

It is not a deal between MIIF and Atantic
if they have to buy in the market !

Genghis ..I hold my hands up re moot point but I was actually replying to Mr008 when he was saying that the MIIF investment was not good for ALL shareholders as it would reduce the equity of shareholders..I just made the comment that we would need to raise to fund our share regardless so if MIIF did not invest we would need to get it from somewhere else not that it would be a problem and I did make the comment it was more about the price /discount

ALL would need to raise without MIIF to fund their share of development in partnership with Piedmont so your argument is a little bit of a mute point

Q ..perhaps you have been right all along and that is why the sp is where it is ..we are going to production and the only way is down !! I am sure a sale would reward more shareholders than trying to go to production

Also I am convinced if ALL had their way an announcement would not have been made until the deal was done..markets hate uncertainty

I think it is all about the price and ALL do not want to go too low but still want them on board..it feels like MIIF are trying to force them into a corner and maybe we are standing ground..time will tell !

We have had clarification that they intend taking a stake ..just want to know when the deal is done and at what price

Bit of deju vu with this one ..cut and took my losses when it was clear it was all going tits up with the old management in India and Argentina and thought I would have another go when the story looked promising early on here but it appears to have turned into a right old s*it show with raises and nothing really tangible to demonstrate any real traction in the market..probably not going to sell but written off in my mind

As far as I can make out Monte that is the plan. Current management do not want to have anything with Cascabel and get shot of it to the highest bidder..or indeed any bidder lol

I think Keith Muller got a bit mixed up with his dates and did not sound too polished in speaking but the message was still the same..things are moving ahead and in good time

I think it was last year when Mr Koranteng ( or something like that ) who is the ceo of MIIF was talking about investing in gold companies and recently discovered Lithium and putting back revenues and royalties back into mining for Ghanas future generations and mentioned Atlantic by name when he said they were seriously considering a stake and then Len was making his speech this week and pretty much said it was a done deal..just interested to know at what price and how much but come what may will be a great endorsement

I was hoping for about 20 million buy lol but would not have thought they would buy in the open market..they will make a direct investment and the company issue them their shares

I honestly don't think for a moment they will be buying in the open market..they will take a stake at a set price from All and the shares issued by the comoany

To be fair though they are all multi national companies and not one trick ponies and could withstand a setback in one jurisdiction if it happened.
I tend to think the market is just waiting to see if and when the Ghana fund take a position in ALL but more importantly at what price..not that I think the price will affect things too much in the long run but maybe if under current sp then there could be a settling back despite the fact it will be a huge bonus if they come on board

I think we will be left with something to explore and prove up

Lol think you need to look at the detail a little bit more closely if you want to compare Kod with ALL ..I am not saying that KOD will not do well but ALL has many advantages from resource size , quality , tonnage production per annum , ownership and a fair bit more ..( and you used the spelling of their in the wrong context )
