Just for a contrarian view thomas I bought solg all the way down from 12p to 1.18p I think was the lowest paid primarily because of my faith in NM whose record of getting commodity resource projects through funding and development to sale is impressive but not only that and just as important he has got serious skin in the game..whilst i missed selling at top dollar i made very healthy profits and am now buying back in as the price dips..i am more confident this time round than the first by the way !

WHYAST I think you missed my point about INA and Croatia..obviously I am well aware that they do not need the IPPC permit if the gas is going across the border as is now the case more to the point whether Slovenia would be happy to give them the permits to continue re entering and or drilling more wells further depleting reserves which they may well wish to deploy in their own country..I do not know the answer but as you were very sure that INA are going to be in the frame for AST what your thoughts are on that predicament if it is one

That maybe so but the frustration that many have when SOU appears to start reflecting that optimism only to be pulled back relentlessly and certainly with no guarantees ever £2 , a five bagger from here ,looks very attractive..imo

I have seen this many times before where instis have come on board particularly when there has been t/o speculation and the sp goes into reverse with no real explanation..but I do believe there is a process going on whereby these sells are being mopped up and staying in sticky hands..marl was a perfect example where there was t/o talk and the price was walked down many lths sold out only to find the deal had been done and the price pretty much doubled

I think you will find that generally the ceos of companies like Solg are all too familiar with the vagaries of the stock market and when you have a long term plan/project intraday prices are a little irrelevant to them..obviously they will take advantage of a rising sp to raise funds, that is why they are listed in the first place..I would bet my bottom dollar that NM does not sit there at HQ saying if only i sold at 46p lol because ultimately he believes he is going to sell for an awful lot more than that ...imo

You did not answer my question yesterday or previously WHYAST which is do you not think that slovenia would have something to say about the gas going across the border to croatia

I do not actually think an offer of 1.6 would be put to shareholders because it undermines the value the BOD believe the asset is worth..AST would continue on its own

I tend to agree with you BigBear the SR is the most appropiate way of flushing out interest/bid/intentions without the market second guessing what maybe on offer..i think if there is a deal to be done it will be behind closed doors and announced when agreement reached if at all..as far as value is concerned CH value of 200 million sterling would have a price nearer 10p whereas a price of circa 3p would be a discount of some 70% and most likely be acceptable to most..imo

although of course they had a lot of debt and no producing assets at the time

Lol it is as if you have just ignored everything I have just said and gone into your own negative spiel..What I said is some wells need managing ie they do not all go to plan and spew out vast quantities of gas forever more..and clearly that is what AST are doing..managing the wells !!! Who said anything about the field being brilliantly productive..i did not..when you say the indications are far from brilliant so far ..pg10 has been producing for a year and production has been fairly constant and just pulled back so as to not put undue strain on the well and the issue with pg11 is well documented and appears to have found a solution

RTN I know you have turned negative on AST therefore selling out and on what you have heard since but one point I would make is that clearly some wells need managing more than others and it would be great if they were all gushers but life is not like that..sometimes you have to deal with and get over issues , something that it would appear AST with their partners have managed to do..in the situation easing off on pg10 is also prudent to prolong the production from those sands which brings me onto the more important point something which I think you have chosen to overlook and that is the deliverability of the field and casting some doubt on that..but AST have proved it can deliver and also the fact they have applied for the permits to reenter 10 and 11 to get the shallower sands to produce..now i do not know the life expectancy of the deeper sands but it was only going to be a matter of time to make the first reentry and get them producing as well

and as if on cue one of the main protagonists has just posted again..no prizes for guessing who

RTN Have been out since i made my earlier comment and if you reread it you will note i did not direct the CH bashing at you only the bit about people ramping the share or as i put it being mildly positive in the circumstances as opposed to the idiots that will find any reason they can to have a go at the ceo in a particularly unsavoury way
