all the gloom and doom and whilst we await some more positive news I cannot help think that when JP said he could sell what we have got for a £ any company that was interested would of course be paying in the main for TE 5 horst with potential upside on the rest of acreage and any suitor would of course know the high risk with drilling this terrain..well we could of eliminated 3 areas that they need try ..hopefully it does not come to that but dusters are part and parcel of o and g exploration..hopefully any co will not be so pessimistic as so many of us on here

Mike to a certain degree I agree with you but think the failure of TE9 was just the catalyst for venting at the board..I think most on here accept dusters are part and parcel of high risk high reward exploration but it was probably many of the other things that have been discussed over the last week or so that had been slowly but surely festering in the lead up to the drill that have not helped our cause

duster..no I do not know for sure if you hold AST shares and neither do I care but I would not be anywhere as critical of a company as you have been and still holding..it just does not make sense..If you feel about the board and what you think they have done and been responsible for in the way you post then more fool you for not selling and for your second fact yes anyone can post whether they hold or not but in Gods name why the hell bother you must have too much time on your hands

lol I have not once recommended buying AST..I am not dodging anything and understand fully where we are..when I bought into AST they appeared to be on the verge of getting the permit for the plant and given that they had been operating in the country for many years and works carried out to different wells using similar techniques there was no real reason for them not to get the permits required for further works especially as the company had been encouraged to invest 50 million euros..AST have done their utmost in trying to comply with the enviromental department and have been treated very shabbily but we are where we are..at this stage in the game we will be going nowhere if we do not get the permits and on that basis any purchase of shares would be a pure punt/gamble ..all that aside though I do not understand why you would be here ..you clearly are not invested and have no intention..you are not imparting any useful information to anyone and to say you are balancing out ramps like that of Baxter is just rather sad if you ask me

Whilst I empathise with some of what you say Fell and I do believe there have been some dubious and cringey moments in Sounds recent history I am also clinging to the fact that the team are still working to get the best result for us shareholders..there must be many factors timings and signing offs to be achieved in many of these transactions and whilst maybe JP has been too optimistic over some of them I would like to think there is nothing on the darker side about him..I am still prepared to give the benefit of any doubt and really would like to think the GSA will turn up before christmas

If BHP had started buying in the market every one and their brother would have got wind of it especially the voluume that they needed to get a meaningful holding and step on the solg ladder..so to get a pre arranged stake and a foot in the door bow down to NMs demands..it is not going to stop them bidding if a takeover attempt is made by another but they would see themselves as having an advantage

Have to say cannot agree with you Baxter..we do live in hope of getting the permits and if we do then the market will indeed rerate AST quite markedly I believe but in the near term there is great uncertainty and for the reasons outlined by the company they have a backstop in place now just in case all else fails and if they need to use that it will be at a discount so I think you need to temper your enthusiasm ..however on the other side of the coin I would also advocate ignoring the joker/s on here as they spout their venom

I wonder if someone could explain for me why JP intimated that the price he would seek for the gsa would in some way be pegged to the oil price..whilst gas prices seem to be firming up consistently and oil prices have gone into reverse what would the benefit of that price correlation be..unless I have got that completely wrong and he did not say that at all..anyone ?

Nevertheless with only 309 million shares and a market cap of circa 56 million it really would not take much to put a rocket under the shares if even just 1 of the projects we have starts coming to fruition and with VM hardly containing himself on Dorothe and the Lithium grades just reported that spark might not be too far away

quite believe where we have ended up at the moment but it is what it is..unfortunately and I am not alone in glossing over some of the red flags that started appearing some time ago but always felt secure in that we were underpinned by what we already have to be realized by a LE..Now if I were to believe every negative post over the last few days we are a busted flush but surely there is a little more value to what we could achieve for the company in the event of a sale if indeed TE 10 and 11 fail..obviously it would inevitably bring the data into question even more but I cannot believe that 30 million dollars of seismic data carried out by probably the best name in the business is completely worthless so there must be an attributable value to that..in addition there is SM which I certainly would not have the stomach for more fund raising to have another go at drilling if the worst came to the worst..we have been working on a 12 month to 18 month timeline for far too long and to be delayed and put back further would be too much of a slap in the face..besides which I doubt JP would be at the helm in that case and although many on here think he has lost some of his polish the market would not take that well..getting back to the value of what we have..even if we fail at the next two wells surely a major will view the potential of the province as well as the TE 5 horst..surely it is appreciated on here that even in hydrocarbon rich areas there is always going to be dusters..i dont know stats but I am sure Algeria must of had their fair share it is just a small company like sound cannot afford too many bites of the cherry..I never subscribed to the big numbers that have been mooted in some corners and think in the past if we got more than £1.50 it would be a bonus..well yes I have set my sights even lower although willing to be surprised but would still like to think there is nearer 40 to 50p in the value if 10 and 11 fail although the sp will be on its back probably even with the gsa..time will tell in till the end come what may gla

Good interview and VM just about contained himself without going overboard..just to reiterate I am very upbeat with the stake he took in placing and obviously persuaded some family members it would be a good idea..am glad the raise is out of the way but without being too negative he wanted to raise more and if the sp had been higher probably would have done so I do think there is a very good chance that in 6 to 8 months time they will want a bit more..however am more happy now they have done this and had a little top up and will do so again after a bit more newsflow..am happy to follow the board

am a bit exhausted by the relentless fall in sp and the opposing views of value that we already have..have to say I have only held because of what JP has always said about the value of the company and that he could sell it for a pound as is..however given that the company was going ahead with the 3 well program I am not so naive to see there would be problems ahead if we started off with a duster..if it had been possible I would of been one of those in the camp of sell on seismics and what we have in TE 5 horst..I think the value of that will become clearer when we have the GSA which I believe has been muted for early December..perhaps the company will give some clarity at that juncture as I cannot quite believe the confusion that persists at the moment..still cannot get my head around the fact that I put some money in for my son and told my wife to buy and they both got out at 99p and I am still holding lol..would just like to think there will be something at the end of all of this to recover some huge losses but in my mind it is going the same way as so many other aim cos..I would dearly love that not to be the case and I know JP has over promised and under delivered on too many things..the trading plan did hurt the most tho but I do still have faith in him to deliver something for us long term holders

I am genuinely surprised that you have sold out and really thought you were joking but also a little ironic given the little bit of banter we have had in the last few months when I raised the dreaded F word and the amount of projects they had on the go the need for money and the fact they would need it sooner rather than later ..nobody in their right mind would leave it until the last minute to raise ..I also think this had been factored into the market as any attempt to raise the sp was sold into..anyway it has been done and it is out of the way now..huge plus for me is management making a big financial commitment and they should know more than most..we will see where we go from here but as you used to say ATG why sell now ? However i am not going to berate you for selling you have to do what is best for you just like all the others before that i defended and it appears they may have called it right at the moment but there is a lot going on and there could be sp moving news now that the F word is done
