Whether you like it or not the process as you suggest does not work in the way you portray certainly not up to this point..it has not been the case that AST apply for the permit and they have been denied per se..the application follows a certain path probably in some ways not too dissimilar to any other big development it is just this one has potential to affect the enviroment and subsequently there are many more people involved wanting to chip their two pennies worth in..if you had a huge housing application as I have round the corner from me there are reams and reams of detail that have to be answered and that is after all the newt and bat surveys which can take years in themselves to observe..anyway that is a bit of a digression just making the point that ARSO will raise many questions on information provided..arguably they have now had the time to decide if AST can have the permits or not..incidently I think start to finish one of the fracking applications in this country took seven years

reso..been out for the day but thought I would like to respond to your comments..with regards to your comment about it being unethical to promote my loss on others is a little bit rich given the context of what I said..it was a flippant response to Dusters constant inane ramblings and very tongue in cheek although I believe it is accurate which is a lot more than could be said for many of the postings on here..You are able to take your almost Diane Abbott like sanctimonious stance only in the main because of the failure to get the permits and unless you have knowledge now or in the future you know just as much as the rest of us ..it is without doubt that AST lost the earlier momentum it had when getting first gas , route to market and two producing wells without debt and rid of the clns only to be thwarted by the lack of permits ..there would of been plenty of opportunities to further the project with the permits in place probably with another party..as for being honest with myself I can assure you I am completely comfortable with my investments and not deluded in any way..I can handle losses as well as enjoy the winners without bad mouthing ceos as seen on here..as a little aside I was buying shares in Solgold at just over a penny when there was someone on that board just like yourself telling all and sundry in your know all way how peeps should come to their senses and see the light..how ironic that Solg would now appear to be sitting on one of the biggest discoveries of cu in years in the world..why don't you just carry on trading and leave every one else to their own devices as I am sure you do not know everything !

Morningsun I am not for one moment suggesting anything untoward about the statements re financing but one has to understand when investing in small exploration companies on AIM they are going to need money and often ahead of events but at least in GGPs case it is going towards a potentially rewarding project

Having been in a number of exploration companies over many years you do tend to get a feel for the companies that have good potential and GGP fits the bill..obviously the initial grades plus the jurisdiction they are operating in is a huge plus..the fact that there is far more potential to grow is another positive..one thing investors are going to need is patience because these things take time and plenty of it

I accept what you say Morningsun but have been in many companies that have said they have got enough cash for such and such period and then go and raise ..in fact two companies just very recently have done exactly that..ceos of exploration companies have to look further out and also take advantage if their sps are firmer but if they bring someone else in with deeper pockets all good !

One difference between GGP and Solgold after listening to the interview yesterday is that all options are on the table..solgold would not entertain a jv and have financed all their drilling by majors taking stakes but maintaining control of the project whereas GH I believe was leaving that possibility on the table and even suggesting that he may not be the person to take it forward

Certainly grades so far are better but very early days..solg is proving up a Tier 1 resource and has attracted the attentions of major miners and tens of millions of pounds of investment..early signs are good for GGP but would be good to know what the game plan is here..is a jv welcome or a takeover a possibility

yes you are right ..think we are in the east and that activity was in the north ..apparently incursions from Libya have been an issue for a while but first time french have been called on to repel them

I have been invested in Solgold for many years and in the earlier days of their exploration activities after their discovery hole nothing seemed to move the price even though hole after hole was producing great results..some of the reasons put forward for the sp not rising was the depth of the deposit and as always with explorers the need for cash
