I think I probably worded my comment incorrectly as they are not directly raising funds but being able to pay in shares effectively protecting the use of cash balances

this is prudent preparation for the additonal funds required that they did not quite raise last time but hopefully we will continue to have some positive updates in the meanwhile

at the timeline in the Q1 2019 presentation I reckon the GSA is due today lol !

It is what it is I suppose but I can remember in the early days when we had a number of good announcements and the sp went up intially only to end up in the red which led to the usual comments like thank god it was not bad news

of an irony that on the day we find out that we could well be on the road to proving up at least 1Tcf and arguably proving more in similar type structures and the sp seems to be splattered with red

Yes I have thought that from when it first appeared..I do not think it is so good a discovery if it is not commercial..arguably Echo have got a 500 metre column discovery ..they just cannot get it out of the ground..I know it is a bit more of a wait but maybe that is all part of the bigger plan and gives a chance for other bits of news to come in and if there is something else going on in the background we may pleasantly surprised to see this concluded sooner rather than later

I agree with you Shaun that is what the Rns says but the last one clearly stated they were doing the unstimulated test ealy Feb so if today they gave a reason why that has been delayed that would of made things clearer but it is slightly ambiguous

an observation and not intended to be negative but from the last RNS I thought they were going to proceed with an unstimulated flow test on the deeper intervals early feb but now that will be conducted mid March..If that were the case you would probably expect to wait until the end of March to know the results of the unstimulated flow test but that is when we can expect to know the stimulated flow results albeit initial rates

We may have to agree to disagree on this one but raising money at near current price for exploration companies is a huge win in the grand scheme of things..any other way and you will be paying heavy fees and discount on shares and I think the norm is somewhere around 17% discount..
As you mention Solg I have been in them for many years prior to them getting the permit to explore in Ecuador..every raise there has given them the opportunity to add value to the company and there will not be any shareholders who will lose out from this level I believe and likewise IRR are pretty much using the same blueprint albeit with multiple jurisdictions

Very good post as always Toro and just to add I do not think the significance of the support both from the major shareholders but also management..they are the ones that are best placed to know what really is going on and what we have ..this kind of money is not an investment on a whim it is a set of professional people making long term value enhancing decisions..these are some of the main reasons why I invest in IRR and will continue to build a substantial holding , in my economic world that is with at least a one year timeline from here to see some very interesting developments both in the field and corporate space

weetsie..cannot agree with you on the funding issue..we are very lucky to have supportive shareholders ( just like solg shareholders had NM to finance the company when they would of struggled in the early days ) that are willing to back the company in a tough market for small exploration companies raising funds and therefore do not really see why they should pay a premium..if you have a look at some of the raises done quite recently by aim companies some of the fees paid and discounts given are quite heavy..for reference look at Coro...also given your point on dilution us pis can always top up in the market as the sp invariably comes back and in most cases under the strike price so in actual fact we are arguably better off
What I can see is another being involved and having to pay a premium again just like what has happened at solg.
For me NM selling was a bit of a disappointment but he still holds a chunk and he is all consumed with solg at the moment ..maybe he chucked some more in there with the proceeds
For me I believe management are focused on proving up province size portfolios and this latest addition fits in with this criteria
IRR certainly seem to be a slow burn but it does feel like there is some kind of corporate deal brewing
