Yes good point - I hadn't mentioned that because I had focused on what I thought might be a gap in time between RNSs but yes this is the ongoing and important news that will be adding to Presidents bottom line day by day and once the news flow starts again more will start to be added to the story. In the meantime will be interesting to hopefully see the sp drift up under its own steam.

as it seems to me we are in a bit of an interim stage before a year end trading update, reserves update and other news seems to be scheduled for later in the quarter. We will see - would be good to have a nice surprise or two but I think last week's RNS shows that it was one just to provide some info of limited interest but maybe there could be further news.

provide a hugely positive back up to what the company and us shareholders are hoping to hear. I'm sure they are taking their time this time so that any aspects of the RNS released - hopefully now early next week will give the sp a real turbo charged boost. As always dyor and all imho.

and maybe the company learned something from last week's emphasis on the Friday RNS and the results and analysis were not quite ready. I am assuming we will hear a more detailed breakdown tomorrow or early next week then things will start to move upward from there. This management team seems to be one that likes to keep things moving so I am sure a lot is going on behind the scenes.

Yes it wasn't the biggest news but the bigger news will come in time re Paraguay and Salta and more news from Argentina(and/or elsewhere) but Argentina does seem the primary area they are focussing on at the moment - other news will follow but at the moment it is a case of wait and see - in the meantime at least this project is underway and we will be getting more for oil and before not too long for the gas being produced too. So, a matter of wait and see for the moment - unless PL is going to surprise us with something.

It seemed like it was a National Governmental organisation that seems to be behind the strategic resources search in America, so is very interesting firstly to know what the driving force is and secondly that money is being put in to organisations/companies to achieve success which is a huge vote of confidence in my book.

It's been a little quiet, so would like to get some news to get the sp trending upward again. Having said that as lots of oil stocks seemed to dip last week in relative terms President's sp didn't move down too far.

Must agree with you NicetoMichu - we meet again! about Thebhoys. As far as I've seen always been supportive and upfront about things haven't noticed any bad comments from him. Makes me wonder if someone has got the wrong end of the stick about something said.
In terms of the share will be interesting to see what the next RNS reports re the findings and if it will provide a more positive response to the sp then the unfortunate last RNS did.

and only interview he talked about the possibility of talking to other parties which he wouldn't be drawn on in terms of funding . I wonder where this leaves the company as regards this - or if no funds are now required based on last weeks announcement to get the company to first drilling by the Zubairs. I've lost track of where Scirocco are up to too re their share - anyone know what the situation is on either of these?

Appreciate you taking the time to post. It's useful to have some rough yardstick. I believe some of these initial wells were appraisal wells to prove in effect the concept and recovery of gas with the usual fracking methods. They seemed to have hit issues with the first one but have started to turn that round and will no doubt learn from this.
Good to have that guideline of approximately one million cu ft per day and appreciate what you've also said about the variability of the production time scales on the various wells. Thanks again.

wondering if there are people who use this board who have the knowledge to do so. What would be a good result for a similar frack to the one that Origin have currently carried out. I think it's approximately 1km long drill and just trying to get my head around what a good result would be in terms of gas production per day. A general question too - how long do such tracks usually produce it's results for?
Sorry about the question being so vague but that is one of the reasons I am asking - to try to get a feel for a successful result.

It made me think that Peter Levine had allowed for this news gap in January to get the Paraguay agreement signed off so that can be planned into the mix as another added impetus to the sp.

but it sounds like for a while we will not hear any news until the end of February when we should find out about the reserves report. In the meantime will keep an eye on their Twitter account to see if there is any progress in other areas.
