barnaberible I recall sitting in a meeting when a phone rang, and it wasn't the one on my bosses desk ! We sat with jaws dropped as this bloke who'd flown up from London opened a briefcase and out came a telephone. We couldn't believe what we were seen. We'd heard of them but hadn't seen one. c 1985 maybe? We were so impressed at the technology we couldn't imagine they would evolve to what we are familiar with today. So yes, technology moves at an exponential pace but man will continue to extract as much as he possibly can from the finite resource that is the earth's soil. Maybe only the rich will eat traditionaly grown food in the future but the demand will never go away. Thats where Poly 4 comes in to play its bit and prolong our natural resources. Whatever happens after 100 years I couldn't care less. SXX has the potential to look after me and my kids, possibly my grandchildren, given what I've got in here.
Will we still have money in 100 years? Will we still partake in investment? Who knows? For the foreseeable future ie 30-40 years is there a place for Poly4 and its wall of profit ? Undoubtably IMO..Yes....and that will more than do my life expectancy :)
Totally agree Stokey. Little point in buying shares if their potential to rise is negated by the issuing of more. I'm holding for divis but if someone wants to offer me a tenner a pop, I'll take the money and run :)
I'm struggling to believe this to be honest and its tempting to dismiss the claim as subtle deramping. Wheres the evidence ? It s a granular fertliser which all existing spreading equipment should be able to use, possibly with some manual adjustment, and storage should be no different than for any other granular product. Farmers currently using liquid spreading techniques would have to change but again whats the problem there....they are constantly investing in new equipment as technology changes.
Never mind, it'll turn again for the better. Theoretically, and I'm not brave enough to risk it.... but if I were to try and trade say 200k shares, would I have problems buying them back short term ? Are there times when largish purchases are difficult ? Anyone know?
RE passing on recommendations to friends, relatives. Personally, something I'd never do in case it goes tits up. I'm not averse to taking a rec off them but that's all. Hoping soon they will be asking why I didn't tell them about SXX as they would've loved a bit of the 1+ action. Tough :)
SXX PP Came out of HUR to go all in here, reckoned it will multiply quicker.
.....won t be back until mid afternoon. I'll leave you guys in charge. Dont mess up now, keep this sp flying :)
most receptive market is Europe ? Well, well, well.
Modest addition this morning when sp dropped back, just to bring my total to a nice round but potentially lifestyle enhancing figure ! Lets go :)
4 pounds ? In that case I'll not be able to carry my stash, thats for sure :)
I used to love that thread ! Maybe not 1 but I can see confidence building here and wouldnt rule out 60-70pfollowing some positive news from SXX either on torps or St2 funding. Exciting times for sure.
I was told the other day most banks are running on dated computer hardware, didnt invest responsibly when times were good apparently. Big problems in store, TSB just the start. True or false ?
Trading a wee bit on here....my first attempt, thought it might be fun.....sold 1000 shares the other day at 938, tried to buy back in just now at 888 but told not enough liquidity......on a company this size ? Using Best Invest....a problem of their making perhaps ? Anyone know?......of course the sp is rising again !!
