Utilico Insights - Jacqueline Broers assesses why Vietnam could be the darling of Asia for investors. Watch the full video here.
Interesting to see a few of the shipwrecked from the SXX Titanic on here now. Smaller investment and more guarded with the optimism, personally speaking.
Rosewall - well done. Same old story for me at the moment ....the buggers I look at and start to research all seem to go up immediately and I miss the short-term boat. Thats was why I was happy to ride my luck with SXX as I could see the end result despite the ups and downs in a safe. tick all the boxes sector. If the experience clarified anything it was that the Tories dont give two monkeys for Osborne's Northern Powerhouse . 'Never trust a Tory' - to quote the old adage !
Sold out a little while back. Big loss ...average 17p......been in since that planning committee !
Hoping to recover something if the markets turn round, maybe a couple months in the Doldrums though.
Not finding any obvious winners out there, none that I can approach with confidence anyway. What you all turning your blind optimism to next ? ;)
Good luck with the campaign. I pulled out a couple of weeks back, took a very big hit but didnt want to be left with nothing at all. In effect, was bullied out of my investment which I'd held faithfully and added to since pre-Planning.
ps Is CF still talking about his "wall of cash" !
After a lot of deliberation , I've chucked it. I actually woke this morning in a sweat. Have been in since pre planning and rode the waves. The big drops came too fast for me and I couldnt do anything to avoid them. I seem to recall all were preceded by optimistic noises from the Board. Average 18p ...£220k investment, you can work out the loss.
Consensus on here seems to be this will only go down, the threat from AA was disgraceful, and far too many longterm posters are bailing for my liking. My courage has gone.
If anyone has some tips for a 3-5 bagger to make me feel better, fire away.
Not a horse though, not allowed in my SIPP :)
Good luck
So Sageman you are proposing to sell out for the 5.5p now and reinvesting the proceeds once the dust settles in AA ?
Fred, I and no doubt many others are sitting with you in that same boat. After years of excitement, the positive test results, the glossy brochures, the magnificent start to work on site and the seemingly quality of the build, I cant help but feel its time to bail and recover about 1/4 of my 'all-in' investment. Then I think, the whole thing stinks, and is this 'offer with threats' not just a ploy to panic PI's into selling up so someone can built a huge cache of cheap shares. Have we anyway of knowing where sold shares are going? If the Board is colluding in that, and its by no means certain they are not, then they deserve to go to jail....no other way about it. Its theft nothing less. If they are genuinely stuffed, left with no option and share our pain, then we are all at the mercy of the prospective buyer. By all means anyone feel free to tell me I've got this wrong but all those finding enjoyment in the woes of the innocent shareholders hit badly here can butt right out. Your contributions aren't wanted and only show you up for the ***s you are.
Oldham boy. .....maybe the uk is about to attract the company tax avoiders.
Sickened by this turn of events, at least the 3rd knife in the back and annoyed I made the wrong choices. Its not going to be easy turning in my 18p average for 5p. Been here since Planning. Still unsure how to play it.
Would help if Xmas was made the nearest Sunday to the 25th.
Maybe because they know all their election promises are worthless and are just put out there to get them over the line.
'Lightattheendofthe' Tunnel
If the Tories get back in they'll lift the fracking ban, guaranteed....on the strength of some hidden report no doubt. It all be part of 5 years of mad wreckless governance. ...and will barely register amongst the other calamities.
Breathes a wee bit of life into us, much needed. I hope to be regretting before long not buying more at these daft prices, but have too much in here without risking more. Will be content with recovery.
CF attracted me to SXX, no on else. LTH's will recall vividly his positivity pre and post Planning. This Board has been useful but didnt influence my decision making process. If I lose my (considerable) cash I'll blame him before myself....though it will be a close run thing :). He'll come out of it ok no matter what. I just hope he doesnt abandon completely those of us who helped him get this far. Without us, a spade wouldnt have hit the ground.
Wasn't CF the one who made the 'wall of cash' claim ?
How would SXX have fared had no one believed him and put their investments elsewhere ?
Cant access the article but I hope he is not making excuses and saying investors only have themselves to blame.
Chilting is correct - I recall lengthy discussions on this in years gone by. Far too much product will be mined on a daily basis to get it to the harbour by either road or rail. It has to be a conveyer belt system and, practically and for NP reasons, needs to be underground.
SXX has a pretty unique product, loads of it, and much needed around the world at a fairly critical point in human history. Development start-up difficulties aside, thats a pretty impressive set of fundamentals which sets it apart from the crowd. Fingers crossed all PI's, LTH's especially, dont get shafted by the big boys. Years of commitment to the cause deserves better than that.
This government has completely lost its way and simply can not be relied upon to do anything positive for the country, they are all about self interest.
I took a deep breath before logging in today, fearing the worst and wasnt disappointed, just stunned.
GK 99p ?
Get the party invitations printed :)
POSTI.....it wasnt that long ago that returning to 15p was all doom and gloom. Now it will be met with relief :(
A return to 40p will ease my suffering though :)
