I posted the extract below on that board on the 3rd of June when the sp was 3p - now 5.5p. The price completely baffles me as it seems overpriced by 900 percent.

"I cannot understand the share price - they complete a placing at 0.55p per share and then raise money by issuing convertible loan notes that convert at 0.4p (and have a 20% coupon) and less than one week later someone is prepared to pay 3.5p a share.

3.5p is nearly 9 times the convertible loan notes price - surely this must be a record for AIM. Sometimes the market makes no sense to me at all."

I have never shorted a share but this seems a certainty to drop - but then I thought that at 3p, so I would have done my money in grand style. I lost £25 this week and I feel robbed (that's 2 organic chickens) so losing a couple of grand shorting a 'certainty' would annoy me.

UKOG have a low cost of extraction but do not extract that many barrels of oil. Does anyone know the fixed costs or is it better to simply ignore them?

The National Grid are not running the grid at extreme voltages as they do not need 1000 mile power transmission. If they did they would be buying the equipment from Siemens - I am looking for something Siemens will need to buy to profit from. Europe will be getting an Ultra-High network to move renewable energy around - it will be part of the economic stimulus plans.

The NYT article was more about hairdressers / hospitality staff etc whilst a good percentage of the UK Service Sector is lawyers, accountants etc. They will also have been hit, but not as badly.

A bit off the beaten path, but I have started looking for a company with a niche product which will benefit from the deployment Extra or Ultra High Voltage power transmission lines across Europe. Any suggestions?

It is psychological warfare on behalf of the market makers - they want buyers to think that they are getting a 'bargain' by buying under the mid-point and encourage them to make further purchases.

It is the same logic I used when I was a turf accountant and wanted to lay a horse.
