Theoretically I like REITs that are not focussed on retail trading premises. But, as you point out, there is so much bad debt in the property sector that contagion must be a concern.

There may be some tasty rerates if/when they have rerated downwards or if inflation suddenly kicks in. In the US old department stores / portions of malls are being converted into 'last-mile' depots for Amazon and the like, so they must be undermining the value of other warehousing operations and I expect the same to happen here.

Production equals 32 million litres of oil = 32 billion millilitres of oil

Being generous that is 1 teaspoon of oil per share; the £ party seems to be quite far into the future still.

So when they do a placing it will be even better work as shareholders funds are never returned unless the company is wound up and has funds to pay shareholders after all other claims are settled?

I also did the April Fool double take - I tend to look at the New Atlas website every day as they regularly have fascinating articles. Not sure if I would invest (interesting that they are saying $4 per share as that is the NASDAQ minimum listing price) but it does put other toxic battery investments into a new perspective. It would rattle the cages of folks invested in Lithium or Vanadium.

I am happy with the small profit I took for holding for a few days. What bothers me most is the COVID-2019 backlog of cases in the court system and the number of cases that are likely to enter the court system as eviction cases and others related to the dire economy continue to grow. It becomes harder to enforce debts through the courts when the courts have inbuilt delays which allow recoverable assets to further deteriorate in value.

The resumption of dividends also seems far into the future; the RNS states:

'The Group anticipates returning to regular dividend payments when leverage returns to within our risk appetite.'

'The business is well placed ahead of the next refinancing requirement in 2024, by when we expect leverage to have returned to within our risk appetite.'

Possibly 3 or more years until a dividend? Back onto the watchlist for a future trade. Good luck to those who decide to hold but this is outside my risk/reward appetite.

I did not get the sell right at all - the SP has gone over £1, so I have missed a considerable reward on the funds I risked on a speculative trade. Take the risk and miss the reward is not a good outcome.

Pronation proved to be more effective as far as I am aware - be interesting to see the financial implications of the (mis)adventure; as a recipient of a Queens Award it would be no surprise if the Gov bought them as part of an International Aid initiative though.

I think that update is going to bring a dose of reality to the new rampers who seem to have been expecting life changing news to be released soon.

I took my few percent this morning - might have been a bit hasty as they have gone up since I sold. The trade pays the weeks bills and I only held since last Friday so I cannot complain even though I broke a personal rule and sold in the first hour.

An overlooked part in the results they released was the facts that the courts have been closed for so long (debt collectors need access to courts promptly otherwise available cash gets lost / siphoned off/out of the business by the owners) and, more importantly, the backlog the courts now face. Private Landlords are looking at 6 months delay in getting court orders for legal evictions.

Not sure how Mr Market will react but the results could have been far worse. Mr Market had wiped out £350m in m/cap and the portfolio was written down by £133m; a mismatch of over £200m which is nearly 150% of current m/cap.

It will be interesting to see how the analysts react to the Q&A session conference call.
