I had a quick look at McColl's - looks like a company staring bankruptcy in the face. 6 months adjusted EBITDA of £28.0m; m/cap £28m. Those figures sum it up.
They have adapted to cater for Covid customers; they will have to change again when Covid is gone. Changing shelf layout means they will not have the premium shelf space for multibuy offers from the big bands, so they will lose the new price conscious local customers they have won.
Looks like it is lined up for a pre-pack admin deal, especially if there are pensions that need to be got rid of / off loaded onto the state.
