Ocelot is being disingenuous when he states that "Debt funding offers received: £20m". ANGS have received "expression of commitment in the form of a conditional Mandate Letter" and "indications and soft commitments for the same Loan Facility".

Neither is an offer and both expressions / indications are for the same parcel of debt, so both cannot be taken up. Stating otherwise is wrong. If the company were to claim as much [which they have not] they would be opening themselves up to all sorts of legal issues.

Rampers should be challenged when they make such unfounded or misleading statements.

I don't think so - what happened is that the existing manufacturing capacity was diverted from things like car chip to fmcg items that people would use at home during the pandemic [phones, laptops, gaming consoles etc]. That caused the shortage in car chips when demand picked up faster than the market had pencilled in.

Bitcoin is not an area I know but there is some pushback from the US regulatory authorities and Bitcoin mining is being banned in some areas where coal is the primary source of power generation [Xinjiang and Iran]. I pay little attention to the GOV here but if I lived in Xinjiang and GOV told me not to do something I would be in no rush to tell them to fek off as they like firing squads; a bit like Iran where anti-Chinese sentiment is already running high [and the majority of miners are Chinese who go there to exploit the subsidised electricity prices].

Most of the manufacturing capacity is in Taiwan [TSCM is the most important] but their longevity is questionable because of drought and US / EU concerns about supply integrity. IF I was interested I would be looking at ASML - they make the machines that the semi-conductor manufacturers use and are the only / the market leader in 5nm etching machines.

I am not sure how granting significant pay increases squares with the statement about managing costs - extract from accounts below:
