Ascendant Resources (TSE: ASND) CEO Chris Buncic joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share news the company has put out updated resource numbers on their Logoa Salgada Project which is located in Portugal. These updates came after the completion of their recent Phase 1 drill program which was focused primarily on step-out drilling in the South Zone.

How much has this "commercially viable" Oil Field made or lost since then? If it has been losing money is it commercially viable? When does a commercially viable well declared loss making if it makes losses?

Some goldies were up because of hopes that prices would still keep going up; in some cases prices had gone up because people were factoring in more demand at higher prices. But prices have softened so some falls in explorers could be more dramatic as less demand and lower prices means there is less incentive to start mining.

And delays just give other explorers more time to find cheaper to mine deposits. Whilst I have respect for the Horseman's opinions on miners remember that because someone has more invested than you does not mean that a business is a good investment opportunity - no companies would go bust if that was the case.

And, of course, pay no attention to me as I was certified as a nutter years ago... They even took my rifle away in the army and gave me a desk job.

Taking profits? Seeing as the share price is close to an all-time low are you suggesting that a placing is being forward sold?

I suppose if I was being allocated shares at 0.1p and could sell them today for a higher price I would lock the profits in... And then there would be less of an overhang?

The market makers seem to want nothing to do with this share at the moment; what do they think they know?

The "Saltfleetby Loan Facility Update" on 22 February did say the "conditional Mandate Letter, for between £8 and £9 million" was "conditional also on the participation of other institutions and investors for the balance of £3 to £4 million."

Maybe raising 50% of the current m/cap will require a substantial discount or [even worse?] a convertible loan agreement?
