The sustained price increase from levels 2 years ago makes a big difference to the economics of some mineral deposits, especially if they have silver as well [MAFL should be a good example as the increases in gold and silver alone would double the yearly free cash flow from the mine?].

Ignoring costs and losses associated with exploration is living in la-la land; if UKOG were not spending on developing new assets they might need to close down as current assets do not seem to pay the bills.

Not sure how ocelot works that out - in 2020 UKOG lost around £20m. 200 barrels of oil a day would bring in revenue of a little over £3m, so it would take 6 years of revenue to cover the loss. That is even if you ignore that there would be costs involved and half of the income would belong to the partner.

It is amazing how 2 people can look at the same figures and see something completely different - but then that is what makes judging over or under priced stocks interesting.
