I always look for the missing words - there is no mention of who will pay / how the well will be funded. If they needed £12m before then they need more now. I expect shareholders will be asked for funds repeatedly to pay for small items like wells and geothermal projects... you know small millions at a time.

Ascendant recently released a news schedule which included: "End May: New 43-101 Mineral Resource Estimate following latest drilling program". I am not expecting tomorrows Zoom meeting to discuss the drilling results but could be pleasantly surprised - they say it is to "provide updated guidance on the development plan for Lagoa Salgada".

The last set of Annual Accounts provides details of the ownership of LS. Recorp own 85% and the Portuguese GOV the other 15%. Ascendant bought 25% of Redcorp from MAFL in 2018 and are in the process of earning another 25% of Redcorp by spending $9m on exploration and development and making staged payments to MAFL of which $1m is due in June this year and another $1m in June next year. Ascendant can then earn another 30% of Redcorp by paying MAFL a further $2.5m on or before 22 Dec 2022.

There has been mention of Redcorp getting the remaining 15% of LS from the Portuguese GOV but no terms about this have been released as far as I am aware. MAFL should end up either 17% or 20% of the mine when it is in production and the revised PEA at the end of July will give an idea of what that NPV could be. I expect the existing pre tax NPV of $137m to be doubled if they do not update the resource prices and significantly more if they are updated. The value to MAFL might be in the tens of millions of £s.

TrollHunter2 is trolling this board when he posts "No placing comfirmed".

Resolution 5 was passed - this allows the board to issue 3 billion shares. As Resolution 6 was withdrawn they will have to allow existing shareholders to participate in any placing.

A cynic might say that an Open Offer to shareholders will require a steep discount to place billions of shares. Some placees may then end up with a lot more money invested than they had ever considered investing in Sharecoins, so might sell down to the issue price to recover funds.

No doubt some who post a lot will comment on how wonderful it is now that Lord SS is now putting Shareholders first... The cynic might think they tried to raise the money required and the City said no thanks, not at the current price and discount you are offering.
