If the setup saved you over £1k a year, maybe. If you are concerned about the grid breaking down in winter, then having some backup power is an intangible benefit that you would need to factor in. The battery capacity and how smart the system is of more importance:
How much power would you want the battery to be able to store?
Are the panels capable of providing in winter the minimum that you would need?
What contract can you get to sell excess back to the Grid?
Is the system smart enough to charge when power is cheap [midnight when there is a gale; sometimes you should be paid to take excess power from the Grid].
How much will adding a battery storage system add to your house insurance?
And, bear in mind that battery fires are dangerous, so is there a detached garage / brick shed to house any battery in?
