Someone seems to have sold 300 000 shares at lunchtime and the market makers did not want the shares - and then some automated trades kicked in. And, a couple of weeks ago they were happy to sell hundreds of thousands of shares at a time.

Maybe it is just someone who thinks that City Financial is going to sell - but the fund that they are liquidating is not invested in Plant Health Care as far as I am aware.

18 December 2018 they raised £500k at 0.75p and the RNS stated:

'The Directors intend that the net proceeds of the Placing will be used to further expand the scope of the clinical trial of VAL201 to treat prostate cancer and to thereby allow the treatment to more speedily reach its full therapeutic potential and potential anti-cancer impact. The funds will also be used to progress the development of the pre-clinical VAL301 and VAL101 programmes and towards clinical trials.'

Some directors bought but their total shareholding is just a fraction over 1 percent.

21 February 2019 they raised £500k at 0.6p and the RNS stated:

Does anybody expect a placing before the end of May? And, does anybody wonder what percentage of the money raised is being used for wages, or, if the Board of Directors are taking a pay freeze?

I am expecting a deeply discounted placing - more likely to be around £5 in my opinion. The main shareholders are not going to bail out private investors - suggesting a 1 percent discount is disingenuous.
