Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
This Talk was highlighted in the AlphaSignal daily AI email. Well worth the listening time if you are interested in AI and its implications (such as the market for transformers that will be required to go into the server farms to power the AI programmes)

Good email newsletter... I like the free AI tools that are coming to the market from well financed companies. These tools cannot remain free forever - the electricity costs required to produce the results are enormous.

My brain read the subject line as 'Rod Stewart on Civil Service' and thought why would I want to know his (Rod Stewart) opinion?
The loss of any politician prepared to work for the greater good of the Country should always be mourned.
I saw this on the RRR board [which is unusually busy there today with 30 posts so far today]

Blue,
Get some "tomato grow bags" and some canes stick, plant the tomato plants in the grow bags and build a lattice for the tomatoes to grow up into.

James Cooper has written interesting reads about Copper... here is his take on Aluminium

Fat Tail is a site new to me; not sure about it and they seem to exist to sell you their 'premium' content. Interesting Aluminium article nonetheless.

Gas Monkey Garage is now a YouTube only TV programme
Superstanskii on Twitter: "Boris Johnson probably “forgot” his ID as a PR stunt for attention. It’s terrifying that he was briefly Prime Minister. That relentless sex yeti only definitively knows the location of his mistresses lady gardens."

I think she is 100% correct... Doris greased the wheels of self-publicity turning with this story. And the media lapped it up.
After the Blackpool South parliamentary by-election: "Tony Blair achieved four 20 point plus swings from Cons when he was opposition leader - Starmer has now achieved five - including four of the top 5 largest ever, all achieved in the last year"

And the #Tories are trying to spin the results as “Whilst this is tough night for the Conservative party, it’s clear there is absolutely no love for Keir Starmer". Do they think the Public are still stupid?

Minister ‘sorry’ as veterans find ID cards not valid for English elections
https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/article/2024/may/02/minister-sorry-as-veterans-find-id-card-not-valid-for-english-elections
'Rishi Sunak’s spokesperson said earlier that Downing Street had no concerns about voter ID more generally, adding: “We don’t want to see anyone turned away from polling stations, we want everyone to be able to vote. Experience from the last local elections was that 99.75% of people were able to cast their vote successfully.”'
But student cards will never be accepted...
I thought that The Dear Leader said that shareholders would be retiring in the Bahamas at $55 a barrel of oil or some figure around that. The only one likely to be retiring there off gains from UKOG is SS (praise be his name).
