Up until recently I used Avast with Defender immobilised. My computer used to take ages to boot up and I just lived with it.
I also use adw cleaner and malwarebytes as backup scanners- both top notch. Recently after a malwarebytes upgrade they gave me a 14 day free trial of the anti virus version, which I just allowed to expire. Around this time the computer got really slow, so I ran all the checks and no virus was detected. I spent half a day checking the router and isp download times.
As a final resort I used revo uninstaller (also top notch) to completely remove Malwarebytes and Avast. The computer was like brand new, with speeds I used to only dream of. I now use only Defender with ADWC and MWB as backup.
Whilst accepting that Google is the number one search engine, I believe they are a little too big for their boots. I don't like their constant requests for agreement to their terms or the "you are not a robot" if I engage the VPN in the Opera browser. I tried Yahoo as an alternative but they are very political. However, in looking for an alternative I came across little Duck Duck Go, who don't track searches (or so they say) and I now use them for basic stuff and Google for the more complex searches.

It's the assumption of the Anadarko debt by Occidental, to be added to the $38 billion cash and shares offer, that gives the $55 billion figure. As far as the other stuff is concerned and not wishing to sound patronising, I welcome people's enthusiasm and optimism but let's not get too far ahead of ourselves.
As you are mentioning Tullow, they are currently saying we have over 100 mmbo of recoverable resource at Jethro, with hopefully much more to come, including more detail shortly.

I'm interested in what parallels you have drawn. Occidental paid $55 billion for Anadarko, with the main interest being its Permian shale assets. Tullow is presently valued at circa $3.5 billion. I'm sure plenty of majors are looking for routes into Guyana but I fail to see the relevance of the above deal. Oh and by the way, to the best of my knowledge we haven't booked any reserves in Guyana.

I sense your biggest problem going forward will be getting the weighting right between JOG and ECO. In Guyana don't be put off by any short term disappointments, such as at JOE, as a possible example. It's arguably the hottest oil postcode currently on the planet . Followed closely by GBA :)

As a comparison to your $11 billion figure, the Liza Phase 1 development, which entails 17 development wells is costed at $3.7 billion. A stand alone development of Jethro will not come anywhere near that.................................yet :)

Do you agree with the Jethro location but disagree with Starvin's latest postion for the vessel ?
As I've said before, I've not got a live stream for ship movements but if needed, if people give me accurate coords, I'll give you the distance from Jethro and the direction. I stress the point, if needed. I don't want to tread on anyone's toes :)

Stena Forth has moved .783 nautical miles or 1.45 kms in a 159 degrees SSE direction.
If the input figures are correct then people can draw their own conclusions :)

It's a bit more complex than that but if you want to do some rough calcs and bearing in mind the GH comments about the porosity and permeability of the discovery sands, I'd at least follow the P50 guidance in the CPR of 25% porosity and the 28% recovery factor will in my view be a minimum of 40%.

I think you will find you would get 5 deep water Orinduik drills for your £200 million. Although it does of course depend on who is doing the negotiating :)

Ah your 10.58 post makes sense now. I've just had a look at marine traffic and it is in deed a world wide service via subscription. That's why you are only getting the April fix. However, I do believe you can register and have a 7 days free trial
for one vessel only, so you might want to give that a try but remember to cancel it within 7 days :)

I really don't know. I've done quite a bit of research on the Orinduik block but I haven't extended that to the drill locations. I don't know where Starvin got his coords from but I'm sure he will be happy to disclose the source. Presumably the two drill locations will be found in the Marine movements announcements, which has been linked on the board previously. There will also be some such service for ships positions. In the N.Sea we use marinetraffic.com but I don't know if their service extends out of Europe. As I said, if you get hold of some coords, then I am only too happy to help with the distances if required :)

I haven't got any live access to anything with regards to the Stena Forth or the drill locations. I merely answered a query from Stravin and gave him the distances between the coordinates that he provided.

No, the seconds will not change much. It's the degrees and minutes that translate into distance.
She's currently, against those new co-ords, 11.629 nm from the drilling location.

If you get any changed co ordinates post them up and I'll give you the precise Stena Forth position with respect to the drill location.

Against those coords, the drilling location was 11.638 nautical miles or 21.554 kms from the Stena Forth at midnight yeaterday, in a WNW direction.
