My figures are very rough and with not much data to work with but Gil said that the reservoir was 20 sq kms ie 33% bigger than the P50 estimates in the CPR. The porosity and permeabilty of the sands are excellent so I've upped the recoverable to the 35% P90 from 28% P50 in the CPR. That gives 416mmbo recoverable. Up the recoverable to 40% which, as I have said in the past, is more like it and we get to 476 mmbo. We won't argue over the other 24 mmbo :)

The 39 days for Jethro was very much in line with ECO's spud annoucement that the well should take up to 40 days. The 50 days, as far as I'm aware, surfaced on a Tullow presentation on the day of the major oil discovery (that's an unashamed ramp by the way). The Stena Forth did stay on location for a further 10 days or there abouts. There are so many imponderables in oil exploration, it's always best to wait and see. Some drills take longer, some less time to reach target depth.
With respect to Carapa, my current understanding is that the rig hasn't yet arrived on location.
I'm treating JOE as a bit of a freebie. On the back of Jethro it's costing ECO $3 million and I expect the Jethro recoverable resource figures to be adjusted to the upside in the near term. My estimate is for between 400-500 mmbo and the additional volume to ECO is about their share of JOE's current P50 of 150 mmbo ie 22.5 mmbo to ECO.

I wonder if the next time TTF tunes in he can give us his view on the fact that Jethro was drilled as a producer, they cased and cemented going down, but Joe is being drilled as a pure exploration well.

There are several figures floating around but in the spud rns the water depth was given as 700m.
The CPR gave JOE as a Tertiary target with a depth range of 1950-2150m, the average being 2025m.

That's a double edged sword. I doubt anyone would pay $7 at present, certainly outside the companies who are privy to the data and probably not them either. Prove up the three plays and it's a different ball game and one very much in ECO's favour.

I'd imagine Tullow will complete the Carapa prospect in the neighbouring Kanuku Cretaceous interval and then there will be re processing of all the 3D seismic against the down hole data from the three wells, to establish a drilling programme for 2020, starting possibly in qtr 2. In between times, I would hope the Stena Forth crew haven't been fishing for the 11 days that they remained on station at Jethro after the discovery rns, so hopefully more info on the discovery.
