@unitedguy.
Some great points made in your reply. One that stands out for me is the fact that Pro-Larva resides in a sea of cheap imported masks. This leads me to believe the statement by the BOD in the latest RNS that the price and the backlog of stock already available to NHS could prove difficult to sell our mask.
I don’t know about you, but observing people’s behaviour in public places I feel that they only wear a mask because they have to. The disposable ones that are meant to be changed every 2 hours are being used as reusable ones (people are crunching them up in their pockets and putting them back on throughout the day)
I am hoping that NHS and other private medical institutions will see sense and invest in better PPE once the current stock needs replacing.
Unfortunately every business is putting costs before safety at the moment. This is confirmed when managers try to keep quiet about an outbreak of covid in their hospitality establishments to avoid closing down even for 2 days (my sister works in a restaurant where this happened this week).
Short term this is very frustrating, but I still believe that long term RMS will be a great investment. I would personally prefer to see them licence the antiviral material rather then masks, but what do I know?!
I find their marketing just as poor as Pro-Larva’s. The article was published on 4th of March. We had plenty of such articles, but still waiting on our sales figures and contracts. Pro-Larva showed as sold out on Amazon and other retailers listed on, but we are still “assuming” there’s no sales. Considering that articles were published to promote the virus killing Pro-Larva competitor since August 2020, I would have thought they would already be promoted worldwide. Yet, this this the first most of us hear of it.

I did not see the tweet, but this thread reminded me of my last job at Heathrow Terminal 5 a few days ago. Staff were discussing the rise in cases amongst them and how little protected they felt. I mentioned the mask and they were all shocked that one that kills the virus even exists and they hadn’t heard of it. I left them with the name of the mask to discuss why their managers are not doing more to protect them. Maybe they will do some marketing on behalf of RMS since they are struggling to do it themselves. :)
Another thing that I would like to know is the terms of credit. Is the money owed expected to be paid in 3 months, 6 months or even 1? That would give another indication on whether the money spent is less or more than £200 000 per month.
@Unitedguy and whoever else can help:
I am still trying to understand if the BOD is burning cash carelessly. I have noted the concern of having burnt through nearly £200 000 per month since January, but I am still not convinced that this is the case.
Unless I do not understand this statement of financial position, I am under the impression that the company is at a much better place than it was in 2019. Here is my reasoning:
The total assets have increased from £705 007 to £7 522 089.
This includes an increase in property, plant and equipment from £10 978 to £25 661.
Trade and other receivables from £66 090 to £1 925 987 ( this is a very high amount to be owed by customers on sales from Cloudveil and Gyrometrics alone I think and we will only know this figure post December in the next accounts. )
Inventories from £14 589 to £63 491 and
Cash from £74 770 to £3 741 135.
On the other hand liabilities seem to have reduced by nearly £100 000 from £724 927 to £625 284.
Total equity now stands at £6 896 805 compared to minus £19 250 in 2019.
One thing I don’t understand is why is there a corporation tax figure listed as a current asset? Did they overpay or is this an amount offset from previous losses?
I personally have decided to wait for the sales figures and the update on the next invention before I part with my shares. Let’s hope I don’t regret it, but whatever happens I will only have myself to blame or pat in the back for. :)
Sorry….. meant to say “compared to 2019” :)
@unitedguy:
I have been looking at the accounts again whenever I get a chance between running after the kids and another thing that caught my eye was the figure for trades receivables. This seems to be 3 times more in 2020 compared to 2021.
Does anyone know what the terms of credit they have with customers? That could help anticipate whether there is more cash available, although not in the bank account. I think we need those sales figures to make an informed decision as what we currently have is not enough. Only when sales figures and profit margins are released we can know for sure if the money is being burned carelessly.
Noted that. Thank you Unitedguy.
Now I am left with the question of how can you have 5 mil in the bank on 7th June, unless sales from masks have paid for expenses from January until June?! Could this be an indication that masks have been sold, but numbers are being held back for whatever reason? Or am I just being overly optimistic? :)
@unitedguy.
I could be wrong, but from the RNS I understood that 5m was the balance in the account in December 2020. There is no information given on the amount currently available.
@PJx323:
From the 22 January RNS:
“Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE): this tests the filtration capacity of the mask. The P2F product achieved a 98.77%; higher than the 98% required and close to the 99% needed for FFP3 respirator.”
Can I also add that FFP3 masks can be worn for an average of 3 hours whereas the Pro-Larva one protects for AT LEAST 7 hours.

@Gareth:
This article has been posted here before, but I am reposting to remind everyone that according to this doctors and nurses are pleading for better protection. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-57337165
If you watch the embedded video somewhere it is stated that a FFP3 mask (which doctors prefer) costs around £3, but they must be carefully removed due to contamination as they prevent you or others contact with viral particles, but does not kill them.
Based on this, do you still think the Pro-Larva mask is expensive?
I also liked the following: “ With so many of Heathrow's front-line colleagues needing to wear face-coverings all-day, every day, for the foreseeable future.....”
How do you work out making 20p profit on each of the 5 million masks as loosing 1 million per month? Surely you are making 1 million per month profit which is 12 million in a year.
That is only on the machine producing at full capacity. Demand on the other hand exceeds that as we have already been told.

I would not be calling Fusionboy or anyone else on this board an idiot. I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion and should feel free to state it, although I would prefer to have some evidence of research, facts or a good argument to support it (good or bad). Sometimes hearing the opposite side can make you think outside the box, but only if the argument is good enough. I have been around since October and temporarily doubted progress when the old BOD played their games, but feel very confident and willing to let this play out since they have been kicked out. I am sure we will all be smiling in the end. :)
@ Kainos:
Thank you. Same to you too.
@Fusionboy:
If you read the RNSs it is clearly stated that the machine will be producing masks, but one machine is not enough to meet the demand for the masks even at full capacity, hence manufacturing outsourced. As for the price I think a mask that lasts an entire shift, KILLS the virus, reduces waste and contamination is worth the little extra. Plus you will find that the cost of PPE has increased since the pandemic due to shortages of materials.
You say that the mask should be in Boots, but are totally ignoring the FACT that the BOD is not targeting the public as the main market, but doctors, dentist, veterinary clinics, etc. where the risk is higher.
@unitedguy:
I don’t think your statements are fully factual.
1. The old BOD sold all their shares to line up their pockets by issuing 1:1 warrants when they did a placing. They failed on that.
2. Dr. Cave was not ramping when he said “we need a bigger boat” , he was just over excited with the possibilities. He himself stated that “he had intentionally kept his feelings to himself” when the old BOD dumped. Clearly not happy and back staved by his so-called “partners”
3. They did not say end of May full stop. I believe end of June is when the results come out. We will sure find out soon.
4. They should not release anything until contracts are signed. What does the statement “our machine will not cover the demand even at max capacity?”
5. Maybe agree with you on this one although Gyrometric looks promising.
6. I personally think that not saying anymore on the new products until everything’s been proven to be fit for purpose is the right move. Things can go wrong and I would rather not have the share price inflated prematurely.
7. To say that nothing has been done is unfair. To manage to sort out materials for production in an environment where such materials are in short supply is not doing nothing. ( https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.fortunebusinessinsights.com/amp/europe-protective-face-mask-market-105075) Neither is fixing the issue with the mask, or getting Volz, Numed, etc on board.
I think everyone should do their own research and trust their judgment, rather than rely on the information on this board. GLA genuine LTH.

I personally think that the new BOD have done their homework and are targeting the correct market for the mask. It appears that the supply of raw materials is a problem the whole continent has been struggling with, so I think credit needs to be given to RMS for sorting this.
I for one do not expect the share price to “fly” next week or next month, but I am sure this has massive potential and that is not in just the mask.
Patience is a virtue they say. :)
Be nice to each other and enjoy the rest of the long weekend everyone. (Tuan and fusionboy included lol )
Am I seeing things or does the Amazon India listing state that the mask is washable?
Is this a new type? I thought they were disposable?! Have I missed any news as I can’t see any new RNSs?
