I don't usually post what profit/loss I make on equities but in response to a comment by Peakybinder on 28th Sept. I have decided this time to do so. Below is his comment after I posted that I had bought into TW. and added to my RR. and LLOY holdings:-

Just to say I have made 28.1% profit on selling my RR. basket case. So maybe it is not me who needs to learn about basic fundamentals.

We have been put in this position by the so-called experts at the FED, ECB and our BOE, all waved inflation off as 'transitory', and consequently they are playing catch-up. We will now have higher rates for longer because of their ineptitude.

The 'sweeping statements and overgeneralisations' are derived from fact, just check out the DEMG rns's going back a number of years. Accreditation from NICE is only a recommendation. From March 2011 DEMG rns Final NICE guidance recommends CardioQ-ODMT

Obviously it is always better to have an accreditation from NICE than not, but with DEMG their Oesophageal Doppler Monitor and probes had numerous such accreditations but lack of significant sales of the Monitors held back the sp, and is still doing so today.

Monitors were sold worldwide (not enough though) and as far as I know there were no legal implications for those not taking up the Monitors, so I would say it is not legally binding. Happy to be proved wrong though. GLA

I wouldn't attach too much importance to the NICE accreditation, I was in DEMG 10-12 yrs ago, they had so many accreditations from NICE and other bodies I felt sure it was a winner. It all came down to sales, never mind that the patients' recovery time was several days shorter, or their stay in hospital greatly reduced, it was lack of significant sales. No doubt NICE would be good for GDR but not without sales. GLA
