Smithy, it seems to me that you are overlooking how little we knew at the start of the pandemic. It's easy to look back once you know the variables and say what we should have done. As I said, hindsight is great.
A lot of the economy has functioned just fine throughout covid, inspite of the lockdowns
I can see how you would think that the economic damage caused by the lockdown was avoidable, but you only have that luxury because of the actions taken to limit the spread of the virus throughout the population.
You need only look at India to see what could have happened here had the government not taken action. The death toll would have been relatively astronomical and we would have run a much higher risk of covid-19 mutating into something much deadlier and contagious, especially if all countries took the same approach of letting it burn itself out.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, right?
oh, look who it is! Thick as thieves you pair.
Forum posse sticking together attacking those who don't agree with you. This isn't a cult.
To everyone else, to understand who these pair are, go check their posting history and you'll see what cretins they both are.
There seem to be a few sensitive people on this board when it comes to talking about day trading and entry-exit strategies.
If you cannot handle your investments going down and others talking about how they sold and rebought lower, try to keep it to yourself as no one else cares about your bitterness.
What's your problem?
His strategy is good. Sell at peak and buy back bit by bit incase share price bombs.
Either you make some money on the small position you open or you average down and more money when it recovers and heads higher. Sounds good to me.

I love this volatility!
I managed to do this yesterday or the day before.. 305p to 316p, then I placed an order to open a new position today at 305, which filled. I also had an order for 301.8p but I moved it to 280p.
I expect it'll rise above 350p in the future so either it keeps dropping and I pick up additional positions up to £200k, or I make a small profit from it rising from here. Either way, doesn't matter.
