To see BP drop to these prices again. I'd top up if I wasn't balls deep already.
oil price increases, BP barely moves. oil price drops, BP drops in line or more than the oil price.
I hope things improve and we don't end up with stupidly low PE ratios being standard for energy companies moving forward.
The demand for oil is relatively inelastic with respect to price, given that oil has few direct substitutes. Similarly, demand for oil is relatively inelastic with respect to income in the advanced, OECD economies.
@stockready - for complete clarity, I posted at this morning at 02:41 with my guess in the table, in the "RE: FRIDAY CLUB" thread (the correct one)

Everyone is playing by the same rules right? I called this price point first and within the correct thread.

18 months seems very plausible for global vaccination of those who want to be vaccinated.
People/governments have a self-serving bias which will cause them to proactively help other countries vaccinate their population. They will push it as a global humanitarian effort, but really it's just to get the economy working again and limit the risk of further impact to their own economies.

It's a global effort though. Once western countries have reached their goals, they will produce and export vaccine doses to countries further behind.
Look at how production has been ramped up over the last seven months and how quickly countries are vaccinating the populous. Production will continue to be ramped up all whilst demand decreases. The # of vacines delivered every everyday will continue to increase until herd immunity is reached and we're left with people who dont want the vaccine.
In other news, global flights are only 20,000 flights lower per day than in 2019.
You can see the stats here:

2 years to vacinate the world? I think itll be much quicker than that. Supply continually increasing and demand decreasing as more of the population gets vacinated.
Israel's covid data shows how successful the vaccination programmes will be. Restrictions will continue to be lifted and energy demand will continue to increase.
Regarding NHS, read this: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/uk-57367906
I took this as a buying opportunity.
there's little reason to worry that oil prices will fall off a cliff, even if the Iran sanctions are lifted. If they are then you can expect a mini sell-off before it rallying even higher than where it fell from. They would be more certainty in the market.
Oil is holding firmly above 70usd and the demand outlooks extremely. bullish for H2.
I usually stagger my orders to average down if the shareprice drops that low...managed to get 50% of my positions at 310p but my 305p and 301p orders didnt fill before it startsd running up. I bit the bullet and ended up buying at ~319p today. Sitting at 316p average right now..
