If you have a driveway+charger, range is the key item isn't it ?

You won't need to use a fast charger if your battery gives you enough range for your journey.

I could see public chargers being used by those who didn't charge or who couldn't charge at home. Realistically if you can't charge at home, an EV has much less appeal anyway.

I can see public charger usage being very much by exception. In time, solar panels, solar driveways, patios, windows, big home or community batteries, mini wind turbines, for the lucky people,taking power from the grid at home might only happen in the winter or other still/dull periods. You will harvest the sun's rays like you would crops to see you through.

Chargers might be covered in cobwebs through lack of use ....
