Probably should stop but 1.5m into #SFOR now. Maybe the only one buzzing to be accumulating here but convinced substantial returns come from these metrics. Record free cash on the horizon and when sentiment starts turning (and it will), it will really rip

Oops should have made clear I think that the Baron Investment total S4 Capital shareholding is 740,000.

Agreed something sent the share price up to 157p just before the trading update. You are correct regarding Baron Investments purchased 360k X2 = 740k plus another trade if memory serves me correctly. Fingers crossed regarding the pitches, thanks for sharing.

Hi Larry, why would DT want a steady rising share price if there intentions are to make a bid? I would have thought that a weaker share price helps them with a lower bid with shareholder confidence kept low.

Can Drahi afford to make a bid? I doubt it.

Laughable, unfounded rubbish aimed at trying to scare shareholders. Of course you won't be back when the share price recovers.

I've just looked up, since week commencing 6/2/2023 the date that SMS announced his operation how the share price has performed. Out of the 27 weeks the share price has gone down 19 weeks compared to 8 up weeks. We must be due an up week soon.

It takes some believing that less than two years ago on 23/9/2021 S4 Capital share price closed at 870p hitting a intraday all time high of 878p. Here we are today trading at 97p. While priced at 870p may well have been overvalued, today's at 97p is quite frankly ridiculous and unjustified, when financial results have improved year on year.

"It concerns me that none of the board are buying."

It would concern me more if directors in S4 were selling. The directors have plenty of skin in the S4 Capital game. Directors own 11.35% Employee's own 8.26%. The BoD & employee's already have the incentive they need owning almost 20% of the company.

Hi Jo, I share your frustrations with the recent trading update and drop in the share price.

As I've posted many times on this site and the other discussion board, analysts forecast that S4 Capital will report its first profit with SMS also stating that Net Debt will fall considerably in 2024, with analysts predicting that S4 will be in a Net Cash position in 2025. If that isn't enough reason to hold on to S4 Capital shares then I don't know what more to say. The advertising industry is suffering not just S4 Capital. look beyond this year, It will recover when the economy starts to recover sometime in 2024, along with the share price. JMO.

If that's the case, its come back to bite them.

Fleccy, maybe this is Hotteges tactic to keep the share price down so that he can take advantage of the weak share price and fill his boots? If indeed DT intends making a takeover bid. Obviously he's not going to publicly say that he's going to make a bid for obvious reasons.

I think that the problem with the two delays reporting results was mainly down to S4 acquiring a lot of companies. When the results were published the results were good, nothing wrong with the results. So IMO the market over reacted and punished the share price.

If I was SMS I would move S4 to the Nasdaq. He must be considering this option with the current market cap down at £575M. It's a joke, it really is. S4 Capital shouldn't be below a M/Cap of £1Bln IMO. Crazy.

BluePete, I agree, if the share price recovers and BT is a success in years to come, reporting large profits, there will be a public outcry against BT and its shareholders. Yet the same Joe public wouldn't want BT to be taken over by a foreign company. Shareholders are looked down on in the UK, god help us when Labour gains control.

A bit unfair to blame SMS IMO, he can't control the advertising industry. If clients pull back spending the industry suffers. What I would say is that this is getting overly punished by the London market. If S4 Capital was trading in the USA it would be trading 20X - 30X FCF. It would make sense with over 70% of revenue coming from the USA to move the listing to the Nasdaq where the company would be more appreciated.

Patience needed, S4 share price will recover. 2024 S4 expected to report its first profit with Net Debt falling considerably. This time next year.......

Fleccy, do you have an opinion regarding a realistic BT share price, once FTTP is completed and cap/ex drops by 2026/27?

If DT CEO Tim Hottges was serious when he said that he wants his money back regarding his 440p price paid for BT shares back in 2025, part of the EE sale. Will he be patient and wait for the BT share price to recover (if ever) that will probably take at least until 2027 - 2030. Or will he take control of the situation and make a bid to get his money money back much earlier?

It was speculated in the press at the time that Drahi purchased his first BT shareholding, that he wanted to own Openreach.
