In accordance with the terms of its share buyback programme announced on 26 January 2024, the Company announces that on 29 January 2024 it purchased 1,837 ordinary shares of £0.25 each in the capital of the Company ("Ordinary Shares") in the market at a price of £0.4196 per Ordinary Share through Dowgate Capital Limited ("Dowgate"). The Company intends that the repurchased Ordinary Shares will be held as treasury shares in accordance with the provisions of the Companies Act 2006.

1pencil, thanks for your reply mate. The poster over on ADVFN who gave the update regarding Franklin Resources did say that they had added across 10 different portfolios.

The shares issued to pay for past M&A was based on a share price of at least 425p each if I'm not mistaken. So for S4 to buyback at current weak share prices can only be a good thing, with expected further share buybacks this coming financial year bodes well IMO. It would also be good to see directors buying, this would help restore some much needed confidence, it would certainly convince me to top up my holding.

1pencil, according to today's Bloomberg terminal Franklin Resources is now S4 Capitals largest shareholder, holding a total of 76,976,400 shares, making 13.2% of the company.

I would have thought that Franklin Resources would have obliged with a RNS announcement on such a large increase, or is their intentions to keep it quiet?

I'm thinking that the fist half of the year will be slow, second half with the USA election on 5th November should help. I'm thinking that 2025 will be the year for S4 to recover to over 100p, maybe 200p. Let's wait and see, time will tell.

I've just had a look on the London Stock Exchange trades, and no sign mate. Interesting that you said that you sold @42.56p? When the reported high of the day so far is 42.44p.
