I enclose the London Stock Exchange link below that reports that the trade was an off book trade. Some websites have reported the trade twice, when in fact it was one single trade.

LONDON, Sept 15 (Reuters) - DAZN, the sports streaming service owned by billionaire Len Blavatnik's Access Industries, is "possibly" interested in BT Sport, the sports television unit of Britain's BT (BT.L) that has a content including Premier League soccer.

Asked if buying BT sports could give the company a seat at the table for English Premier League (EPL) rights, DAZN chairman Kevin Mayer said "possibly".

"We would love to have EPL ultimately, how we get there, there are many paths to get there," he told an audience of TV executives at the Royal Television Society Convention in Cambridge on Wednesday.

"I'm philosophical about it, whatever makes most sense. BT Sport is a great business."

Asked if the talk about a deal were still live, five months after BT said it was considering selling a stake in the unit, he said: "It's really quiet."

The way I try to look at BT is like this. It doesn't matter what price the stock market values it at. It makes no difference to the value of each asset. The true value will come out one day. If the market can't value BT at it's true value, then someone else may well do it for them. That someone may well be Mr Patrick Drahi.

Drahi wanted Openreach, he got the knock back, so his next move was to purchase 12.11% behind the stock markets back. Drahi see's value, he's not a billionaire for nothing. Interesting times ahead come December.

Yes I would agree Ally, also what gives me confidence is that BT have one asset Openreach worth more than the whole BT Market Cap. Plus who wants Openreach? Drahi. If I didn't know any better I would think that the stock market is stupid.

The large trades that were reported as buys on ADVFN. After looking on the London stock exchange website, all the below trades were reported as off book, so could be buys or sells.

Maybe Drahi is picking up 30 million shares today?

Strange that the market knows that BT has a new investor who's recently picked up 12.11% behind the markets back, yet the BT share price is off 20%? This wouldn't have happened 20 years ago.

Ally, I'm only going by the data reported on ADVFN trades, they are all reported as buys but you probably have better info than this if you have L2?

Exor, while you are correct that Drahi is excluded from bidding for BT until December (6 months) he does have the right to bid if someone else makes a bid before this time period has expired.

According to Simplywallst.com the 2 largest BT shareholders are........

Altice Capital (Drahi) 1,200,000,000...... 12.11% Purchase price 181p per share.
Deutsche Telekom 1,196,175,322......... 12.07% Purchase price 441p per share, part of the EE deal costing £5,275 Bln.

In 2019 DT wrote off £2,275 Bln of it's BT shareholding .............
So BT owes Deutsche Telekom £2,455 Bln or 205p per share. Would DT be happy to receive 205p per share?

Following recent media reports enclosed below I think that DT have had discussions with Drahi regarding their shareholding. If DT & Drahi do a deal I'm hopeful that the share price will rise to the deal price. Just my opinion of course.

“We are today in a listening mode, we are not in an acting mode,” Hoettges said in reference to BT. “We have a lot of optionalities now on the table in the BT business. We will do something which is a good deal.”

Bkkbkk, I would be happy with 200p by Christmas. It may all come down to Drahi & Deutsche Telekom.

If someone does purchase DT 12.06% BT stake this can only be good news for the share price I would have thought. The clear favourite has to be Drahi who purchased 12.1% in Jun for £2.2 Billion @181.81p per share.

I hope that you're right Pomegranate, I would agree that ITV are cheap at 111p. What gives me some confidence is the worlds largest asset manager Blackrock recently purchased 5.1% of ITV. They also must see value.
