Apologies for my delayed reply. Yes we can see whare the increase in debt has gone mate, it would have reduced slightly had we not paid out the dividend. Severance pay off costs I can understand, no option but to pay it. Dividend costs I don't agree with when S4 is increasing debt to pay most probably pressure from disgruntled shareholders within the company. Management have to do the right thing for the business, to do that the cash dividend of £6.1m should have retained within the company. Anyone would think that the company was growing, not reducing. I must admit to being disappointed with Sorrell for this reason, I expected better from someone with his vast business knowledge. Debt is a killer, I hope that management don't live to regret it.

IMO reducing debt should be the priority, above dividends and share buybacks. It's debt that kills a company. I was disappointed to see net debt increase by £5.2m. But in SMS we trust.

Verney, thanks for the heads up. I've watched bloomberg since your post, no mention of the S4 news. I would think that it is credible news if Bloomberg is reporting it. Time will tell. All that I will say is IMHO that any deal will be on Sorrell's terms.
