All sounds very positive and i hope you're all right. The reality is though the market is not happy. over 14% down now. into the 11s. Some huge sells going through
Is this from the conference call Whimax? I am unable to listen in
Question for the webcast... When in 2024 do they anticipate being able to drill the additional well? The RNS makes it pretty clear the FID will not come until after that time so could be another year away. Maybe some people are getting out as they don't want to wait any longer?
I hope so Bubble. Just topped up at (what I hope) is a bargain price of 12.4p. This share has to be worth something at some point
Late start today for me. Just seen the RNS and now just seen the SP. Down 8.4%?! Is anyone able to explain this properly? Have read through the 70 odd messages and all emotional responses so far.
BDC unsure if this is aimed at myself but certainly hope not. My issue isn't with the timeline. Of course its naturally frustrating its slipped but not unsurprising. The point I make relates to the remarks made in press releases, interviews, presentations etc. Also communication generally. If the timeline slips that's fine but be open about it. Don't just let the dates come and go without any mention of it. Its just basic communication.
Everyone here knows how difficult this sort of thing is so its perfectly understandable things slip. Just the way its communicated is what I find frustrating that's all.
Hi KB. That's a fair point. I guess the future will dictate whether ultimately they were bad news or not. If we strike gold onshore then I am sure we will see that raise as a very good thing!
Bubblepooint,
All fair observations. I maybe haven't chosen my words carefully. I don't think they have deliberately misleading investors. I just think (as you potentially describe below) they have been a little bit naïve.
Anyway Ianfer makes a very good point. Since I have been involved (early 2020) there has never been bad news so lets hope that continues!
Thanks for that insight Bubblepoint.
With that in mind you would presumably agree its best not to give investors overambitious timelines? I am really content with the direction of travel so don't want to sound too negative but the BOD must realise lines like "imminent" or "busy few weeks ahead" can be slightly misleading.
Bubblepoint I agree with what you say about good to accumulate etc. My only point really is they don't need to give the false promises. I think they lose good will when they say it will be a busy few weeks. I think they would be much better to say it could be quiet over the next few months but that doesn't mean nothing is happening. Explain the various steps being taken in the background. I would happily put this in the bottom drawer until the new year.
I fear without news we are heading back to the 12ps. I know this has been said a lot but the constant overpromising from the BOD in terms of timescales is really poor. I think as a result they have lost a lot of good will. If they say its going to be a really busy few weeks, or a deal is imminent, or the like then investors simply won't put any weight on it anymore.
Saw that flash up and thought it might be the news we are waiting for. How have I not learnt by now!
Thanks for clarifying ICB
Hi ICB. Thanks for this. You have referred a couple of times now to the EIA being one of 3 government approvals required. What are the other 2? Forgive me if I have missed something obvious but i can't find any reference to the other 2?
thanks
Nick
Might just be me but I am really struggling to see any evidence of news this week? Historically Chariot is a pretty leaky ship. If major news was coming this week I would have expected volume to be much higher and the SP increasing to nearer 18p. Am i missing something that you guys are seeing? Or are we just basing it on the "exciting weeks ahead" quote? Surely we have learnt our lessons by now regarding that!
I'm not sure I have ever seen volume as low as it is today.
Sorry to sound like a complete bore but how do we know this is any different to the sharp rise up to 18p in September? We all got excited then and it was just walked back down again.
I am fun at parties honestly!
Its started raining again...
Looks like the tiny trades might have finally stopped?
The SP is now lower than when we got the really good RNS last week. Make it make sense?
