Whimax my message crossed with yours so wasn't directly in response to yours. It could be being walked down as its very consistent drop each day. The question is why?
We are 21% down this month. 14% this week. Can people please stop saying everything is perfectly fine.
Hello 11p. When is this going to stop? Its getting worse and worse and worse. This must bottom out soon surely?
I’ve topped up as well AdamAnt. Let’s just hope the gas isn’t there for another 8 million years!
If the raise was over subscribed at 14p then why is no one buying at 12.5p?
Out of interest Whimax how low would you be happy for the SP to drop to before it caused you even the slightest bit of concern?
Hi Whimax. No need to apologise. I appreciate my post might have sounded moany or frustrated probably because I am! I appreciate me moaning isn't particularly constructive. Its just human nature though. I agree the SP isn't important for most of us who are in it for the long term but it does affect negotiations and ultimately another raise if necessary. The last 2 raises have been at 18p and then 14p. The next one could be even lower. That is where the SP is really relevent.
Into the 12p's now. Can we please stop pretending that everything is rosy. I still remain positive longer term but its hard not to be frustrated and concerned about this.
Hi Jimmy,
I respect your views and think you are the most knowledgeable contributor on this board but i'm not quite sure your point is too relevant here as its just a snapshot. As we speak Predator down 2.5%, Chariot down 2.61%.
I think the reality is the RNS (or not) this morning had zero impact on the SP but I agree with a couple of others that it is just indicative of the boards poor communication although I appreciate they did Tweet over the weekend.
So are we now thinking any progress on farm in etc will be delayed until Anchois east is drilled which is presumably many many months away?
That would also tie in with the comment that Duncan wants to find more gas.
If true then I get the financial thought behind it but that would make to 2027 first gas rumour more credible
I've taken this as an opportunity to top up. The SP is very low given the fundamentals haven't changed.
Bubbles I think we are sort of agreeing here. I agree timelines are often held as deadlines by investors which they are not. At the same time for me a timeline as guidance would be useful with the understanding that it is just that. Guidance not deadlines.
Do we at least agree though that comms overall could have been better?
I feel like I’m at a point to switch off completely from this share for a few months. Give char the time they apparently need and then see where the land lies.
I think people are misunderstanding timelines in this context. They are not promises to do things by a certain date. They are guidelines to investors for potential milestones.
I personally am not angry that FID wasn’t in H1. I’m disapointed that it slipped but the board didn’t feel the need to acknowledge that.
Bubble to say you’re “very happy” there are no new timelines is an odd think to say. So you’re very happy that we have gone from FID by June 2023 to how long is. Piece of string.
I get the point you’re trying to make. A timeline just gives another cliff edge that they are at risk of not meeting. I just think it was their choice to give a timeline and people invested based on that. You can’t then just remove any timeline and not mention it again. People who invested based on that timeline deserve to know the reasons it’s slipped and an idea of updated dates. At the very least the estimated first gas needs to be updated? Would you not agree?
Disappointed to see no updated timeline on the slides from the presentation. Was anyone there in person who could shed more light?
Hi Gooner. Yes the most we can hope for is an updated presentation with hopefully an updated timeline. Will be interesting to see how much things such as FID have slipped. If thy are now to suggest 2024 for FID i would be really disappointed. Also first gas will surely be 2025/26 now at the very earliest.
We did get an RNS last year the day before about the pipeline tie in so maybe some news tomorrow morning? I highly doubt it though
I can't believe i thought last week they were walking the SP back up to 18p to give some positivity before the AGM. How naïve of me!
Interesting rise today on pretty low volume. Is it cynical of me to think the SP might get walked up to around 18p to create a more positive environment for the AGM?
For months now it’s been taken up to 18p just for it to come back down to 14p.
Or is this the start of something…?
Lets hope so n1 although the SP doesn't reflect that sentiment. Comfortably below the placing price at the minute.
Ianfer your last sentence says it all. There is a complete disconnect between the projections and the SP. I hate to sound negative but there will be a reason for that. I don't know what that reason is but the projections suggest the profit is huge. People far cleverer than us will have crunched the numbers but at this point don't want to invest. Something doesn't add up to me
