Similar thing has happened to Aviva, the share price was driven down to the 360s from low to mid 400s , I cant see anything fundamentally wrong with Aviva just the general state of the whole world

Yet the ftse was 13% lower this time last year, I suppose its just a good time for Div hunters, Just be carefull not to get rattled out of your shares

You have to make your own investment decisions but im happy to add at these levels, maybe worth noting that short positions maybe due to the economic outlook as apposed to the company itself as this does seem to follow the ftse movements, DYOR

SP tracked the ftse drop this morning, nothing to do with acuisitions it seems

Had a vindaloo last night so spent too much time on the bog this morning hence just about pipped some more under 520p,

If they raised the target it wouldnt make a jot of difference, they have probably got someone buying into them so use their position to manipulate stocks

Lots of noobs coming to the forum asking about how safe the Div is, when most other divi payers cancelled the Div through the demic, LnG kept paying and has been extremely reliable throughout the years, this is one I do not lose any sleep over no matter my average, just sold Aviva at a loss and used most of it to top up LnG and Phoenix as its all relative at the moment with losses, just dont have much faith with Aviva as I do with this

Yes im in a similar camp of thought , have dumped taking a loss , bought some more LnG and phoenix to make make up the Div and its relevent as they have both dropped also and taken cash out, man math actually puts me at a similar yearly Div plus 4.3% on the cash which brings out a higher amount and Im out of Aviva

All sounds good but my timing is off somewhat

I remember picking up Aviva shares in the demic around 2quid although the chart now doesnt show that low because they did a re issue of pref shares. Was buying LnG around 170/180s however Aviva stopped the div but LnG Kept paying, I have now sold my most recent Aviva shares at a Loss in favour of LnG as its relative with losses but Aviva seems to be finding new lows and may have a bigger overall loss if this market continues to slide further
