The board pulling a fast one to take this company private on the cheap for COC . I'm Not happy with this

Some chance this may not get voted thru at GM I guess.... but with COC holding 58% and 75% required to vote thru it will likely, one way or other, pass i'd further guess

I think there's a circular to come out today with full details re options for selling or holding etc.. all options are available

( and selling at .225p to COC available for a month .. so no great urgency.. the exact mechanism for selling of CREST held shares - or held in certificate form a different mechanism - to be informed in that circular is my understanding - happy to stand corrected on that understanding ?- and maybe/hopefully our Brokers will facilitate CREST shares selling to COC at .225p by way of some sort of corporate action ?!)

I'm starting to think I was a bit ambitious with my previous range trade shout here a while back - it was buy at 2.5p ish and sell at 5p ish - so my latest revised view is buy at 2 p ish and sell at 4p ish..

(In support pf the above I note that the market cap is still 30m gbp here at 2p ish.. which isn't small in my mind for this 'doggy'.. doggy as in it's sloooooooooooow Mongolia and it's Mick Buck)

For the long suffering here, fine by me if I'm much too bearish with above shout..

a decently tighter spread would encourage wider participation in any such punchy rally here.... encouraging wider participation etc .. so here's to that this arbo ..and beyond..

And moving to the realms of the very optimistic even, it would be great if any early drilling - in (Sept, ahem) Oct, Nov 24 -were to show some promising results and underpin a decent s/p rally here in Q4 24 !

Mr Bird seems to be improving on previous practices this go round, in fairness.

And in further fairness to the man, I note he also includes a - 'this' - year in his drill timeframes RNS wording:

"Our work on the NW Zambia exploration licences has been very progressive to the point that we have identified initial drill targets which we expect to commence drilling before the end of the third quarter this year.''

I can't see many posters here who attend the AGM getting invited to any such after event dinner :-)

Although using the company card might require a wider audience shareholder or two being taken along towards conscience easing - the Bird conscience boat may well have sailed long ago, granted - albeit shareholder friends of Mr Bird only of course, so as not to in any way spoil the occasion

I'll offer OSV and Mr Zap as my guest guesses!

PS: The only 'claret' that will flow that AGM day will be the fine bottled variety at that dinner time.. although in this heat white might work better.... Montrachet for the Birdy and mates perhaps?!

CHECKMATE

Charting is very subjective and therefore by definition very limited... ESPECIALLY on AIM as it's so news driven and MM - wide - spread manipulated.

I say this investor33, having, relative to bet sizes in play - fortunately - done very well here over a long period of time via basic range trading this share: sell spikes and buy troughs.

And I was going to seriously look into charting approx 7 years ago but all expert charters I paid attention too on AIM stocks were that bang average at best and often rank bad in their calls widely over years - I've been in over 100 AIM stocks in the last approx decade - that I more and more grew to see charting as, at best, ineffective on AIM

Big ouch here today.. but this share has a history of punchy rallies and retraces.. making it interesting for traders as well as buy and hold..

Mr Mellon bringing himself on board to sort things out, I'm now thinking.... and/or get this sold off.. so every which ways I have plenty of hope for the future here.. and no interest in dumping any today..

I haven't topped up here today either mind.. but might do so when things settle down a bit..

My guess is OSV is one of Mr Birds rich old duffer mates - indirectly on the inside but not directly - who do well thru somehow managing to sell higher and buy back in again lower over time, towards, generally maintaining averages meaningfully lower than the field..

eg the average medium term holder here might need v approx something like 250 to 500 hundred per cent rally to breakeven from here .. one of the Bird gang maybe a hundred or two per cent...( and they may have banked some profit into spikes too to help with their ongoing patience)

And the Bird gang also make CB impenetrable re kicking out of any of his AIM vehicles at AGM.

Generally, the amount of 'bad luck' Mr Bird has had in this game in the last decade plus is at epic proportions now. alas.. some here will take egs from xtract and maybe or maybe not one other of his AIM'ers.. but there are five or so entities that CB has, give or take, bodged over on AIM for years now.. and if you look at licences not yet granted, 'oles drilled not turning out as hoped, sieve like counterparty legal agreements, early scoping seeing parking at this time as the right option ..etc.. etc.. over the whole Bird AIM stable, it's a truly abysmal overall picture so far, sadly...

But most pi's are in such a hole now that all that's left is hope/prayer that CB somehow, somewhere gets very lucky whenever in the future.. and that's possible...so here's hoping !

PS: I wouldn't dream of turning up to a CB AGM.....I only half trust his RNS's, not to mind the spiel he'll trot out at an AGM, so instead I'll just offer:

'You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.'

Said about this share .. all of a sudden ..and a part from all the bad words I've previously said about it :-)

A break out would be nice.. it's plenty too early to tell granted, but if it were to go past 30p quickly.. well then..
