Te gang of three here remind me of a similar gang on Futura Medical - Interactive Investor as opposed to LSE- bulletin board a few years back.. they were more of less on their own on the BB sharing all sorts of dreamy theories and had one hell of a down journey for a long time but kept believing .. while that is still ' in play ' and may still end badly or great it has gone from close to 5p to close to 50p in it's recent history.

Stocks like this can come good/great but my guess is one in 7 or 8 such do on AIM.... the majority are some other not good outcome scenario: ongoing nothingness to plodding along to slow death by endless placing without meaningful success and /or total failure

What's life without dreams though :-) Good luck to US all here ( and I'm still open to a small top up or two here )

indeed Dibs..I just did a small top up at 6.8 p just now.. would do another small one if this goes towards 6p.. hopefully for others long here it doesn't...I'm cautious here though and would likely altogether only smallish additional top up around his time and my position will remain small/smallish here in 2019, I suspect.. Generally, beyond those three Morgan Ashley contracts, I would wait for further contract completion news later this year or early next - hopefully - ahead of thinking about getting meaningfully back in here.

Calm down already chaps :-) ( false alarm got to be a possibility .. but you never know ..and if this ticks up again tomorrow I might even throw a small amount more at it )

or maybe your average price is way below 6p Andrew :-)

Ps: CE has posted very well here recently from a glass half full perspective imho. ( and he has toned down from glass 3/4 full perspectives previously too, in fairness ) Appreciated and thanks

(After the journey so far here I'm unsure whether the glass is actually half full or half empty. Because the M/C is seemingly very low versus the 'assets' I place my bets, thereafter I in play trade as I see fit and generally I hope for the best over the piece. )

Generally, I cut and paste the same lines on all of the approx 20 O&g'ers I'm in from time to time and work on the laws of averages in hoping that it'll be correct for 5 and the money gained on those will make up for a bunch of car crashes amongst the others :-)

hope springs eternal.. hence I topped up this morning.. likely there is plenty of 'trickiness' - 1 step forward and 3/4's of a step back type thing - still to come in the short term here but I'm somewhat confident for the first time in a long time on a two/three year betting view here. DYOR... and it's all gambling.. etc

has been the most accurately predicting poster on the CERP BB over the last 2 years imho, in fairness.... and has gotten smashed for his trouble there.. that said, my guess is he's far more expert on that stock than this.. also the quality of knowledge on the stock and the industry on this BB is unparalleled imho - and we still have such a broad church or predictions here, proving what a game of chance we all play imho -.... and everyone is of course entitled to their opinion...

I'd like to get excited but anytime this has started to rally in recent weeks it has been promptly sold into and come back off to where it started type thing.. why different this time?...

but great if it's a proper rally.. it would take quick progress to over 5p for me to feel that this is properly breaking out.. here's hoping …

I'm still in here to a small extent - sold down more than half holding at much higher - and have thought about topping up recently .. but was waiting for sub 50p.. of course, it may not go there though and I may not get to do my top up.. but I can live with that as I don't think Tom Cross cares much at all about PI's here

at this stage I feel I can reasonably offer that a proper up movement seems to be in progress here.. about bl++dy time too.. this going down to 10 odd p was very strange even to a much beaten up/ cynic'd up AIM oiler speculator like me..
15p seems a fair short term target to me now.. but, counting chickens ahead of hatching in this space is often egg on face time.... so DYOR and here's very much hoping this rally continues....

management have performed badly here for a good number of years now and are in the process of throwing in the towel.. because 17.5p is a very low starter offer, multiple potential buyers will likely raise their heads and that will definitely help... in the end 5 or 10 II holders will decide what's an acceptable price to them and, current sector malaise included, versus 12p or 17.5p, 27.5p for eg is far from a small number imho.. but 37.5 p would be fine by me too, obviously .. I be amazed if it sells for higher than 37.5p

very interesting Daz and point well made.. ps : if it's all Aim betting 4 out of 5 of those 2m bets would get hammered and 19 out of 20 wouldn't 1 bag not to mind 10 bag imho... so, on balance, still a good indirect tax ? :-)

How to end up with a million pounds on AIM ???.. Start with 10 million pounds !!!!

Generally, AIM is mostly an indirect tax on the wealthy imho ( the poor who play it often aren't in the game for long and make smaller bets but they are contributing extra taxes too, in fairness ) At least jobs are created off the back and fledgling companies are getting a chance to have a go at making it.. a cornerstone of capitalism, if you will.. so even if you lose money you can see it as giving something back to the world ( some AIM sectors much more than others perhaps eg pharma/biotech.. renewables...etc ) And some players do win in the game.. like the lottery but with better odds perhaps ?.. although odds not better by much, some would say :-)

I'm for a balanced Bulletin Board above all else, and therefore I welcome TSP's feedback here.. as he points out himself, any or all can filter him as they see fit. ( and not engaging with him will see him bored of posting more quickly :-))

It's not for no reason that Colin Bird is untrusted or disliked or hated by many PI's: there has clearly been very significant wealth destruction along the way for most involved in his vehicles on AIM in the last decade.... but this is an extraordinarily high risk space and playing shares like XTR is not investing it's gambling.. and you can of course lose some, much or all of your bet.. but some can and do win in this game too.

In his defence in Xtr, CB can't control how rich or poor the Manica alluvials were.. you decide to process them and hope for the best.. at least there is some more certainty around the upcoming 'Ard Rock ..

Generally, if your average is say 3p or under here I'd be surprised if you don't, at very least, have a window where you can cash out your bet here for b/e or a profit sometime in the next two years.. if your average is very high and stays so you might still have some chance of recouping plenty of your bet at some/various stage(s) too, I hope.. or else it has just been a bad bet.. we all make them regularly and just hope of the piece the good bets outweigh the bad ones ( and by as much as possible).. and on AIM, alas, it's far far easier to make bad bets than good ones.

Here's to decent Q2 figures, hopefully... and positivity back in the ascendency here in August.

I just did a small top up in case there is a meaningful buyer out there now.. after big selling into recent pump & dump (?) I have a lot less of these than I used have and indeed intend again having..I was holding fire topping up as I'd hoped to buy at 6p ish and/or 5p ish etc.. it'll serve me right if this rally's meaningfully up from 7p now :-)

One thing that I'm a bit confused about is your view of a meaningful fall off In s/p after a rise on decent/good q2 Alluvial results?

I too expect q2 revenues to be progressive/relatively decent/'good' (ie grades remain poor as before but meaningfully increased throughput resulting in similar increase in revenue ) and that indeed could - hopefully - underpins a somewhat decent recovery in s/p.. but I'm a bit surprised you see a meaningful fall off in s/p thereafter? Why wouldn't quarter 3 be expected to produce similar alluvial revenues and the quarter 4 similar too, and all that time the 'Ard rock revenues are coming closer to starting etc.. So for me there might be a small drift off in s/p if a period of no news - but there could equally be update news pretty regularly too in H2 - but ongoing better alluvial revenues alongside the real - 'ard rock - prize here coming closer and closer will support the s/p and maybe even underpin a rally in H2 in anticipation of the Manica 'ard rock revenue - and maybe other project copper revenue too - 'around the corner '?

and my hope for a break out this week was misplaced, seemingly.. . indeed may even retrace on the week.. apols if anyone bought off back of that hope of mine... (I did caveat it a lot, in fairness)

Generally, I'm happy to stick with this for a good many months, even years .. I've been in here a few years already.. but now too a lot larger extent towards averaging down from being away down..

Ps: sure the Market makers fiddle and manipulate somewhat but I have a clear view that there remains ongoing selling pressure here from decent sized holder(s) here, very likely II (s) .. you always hope that they don't know something very bad that us PI's aren't yet aware of.. in my experience plenty of time they don't really, also they scare a lot more easily than hardcore PI speculators.. but this is a Nigerian Oil company and so all BETS here are by definition very high risk imho.. upside potential justifies such gambles for me as I'm a hard core speculator and fine with such high risk/reward..

good post just there Andrew and generally you're posting here has been excellent imho.. you're by far the poster I listen too most here and thanks far more to you than anyone else here - having started buying here at 2.8 p - I've gotten myself out of a hole here, so far, at least .. and I'm likely in for the most if not all the 'duration' too of course..

Generally, while it mightn't be obvious from my posts I actually do see Colin Bird a wily olde coyote and have a feeling he'll do decently/well in the end by most with reasonably low averages here.. and, even after this raise today, I still hope for a meet up with you and sundry other 'ardcore posters here at the 'ard rock Piccadily for some 'celebratory' drinks in either a year or two's time.

Ps: If allowable by the 'Ard Rock Cafe, I'd happily underwrite the ordering in of some Yorkshire beers for the 'occasion' :

1.2p raise price is a pretty disappointing to me.. but 1m is a big raise for a company with such a small M/C I guess, also the history of non delivery by this company so many times over the years weighed I guess.

But I still think Colin Bird is now making good progress here and the s/p in the 1p to 1.5p range might well be looked back on as cheap in 6 months or especially in 1 years time.

Q2 results will dictate how low this will go now.. even if bad I'd be very surprised if it goes below 1.1p .. and I'd top up here at 1.25p now
