holy cow.. i've 10k gbp in this from a good while back.. and I was in profit recently.. and all of a sudden I'm getting beaten to pulp.. I'm normally AIM only ..and O&G mostly therein.. but threw 10k at this as a low stress sleeper bet....Turns out a chunk of my AIM stuff is less volatile than this.. ouch.. but I'll look to start incrementally averaging down soon..

Fair points in that last post Iceberg.... but me having come across David Lenigas around UKO&G and indeed an O&G'er that bore his name - which eventually became columbus and indeed then BPC - I don't think CB is as bad as him by a good distance. That said CB has plenty of flaws, no doubt .... but Commodity explorers on AIM - metals or O&G - are the Wildest Wild West of AIM .. and AIM itself is plenty Wild West generally.. and if you go looking for a x hundred per cent returns then the potential downsides can, by definition, be huge too ..

You might want him to step down for other reasons Iceberg, but to say the contents of that Interview is a reason for him to step down is totally beyond my comprehension. Altogether, those two posts of yours are well over the top imho.. but you are of course entitled to your opinion...as am I ... and you have had excellent knowledge on the detail of drilling porphories, without a shadow of a doubt.. and I'm very thankful for your high quality posting here around such.

CB is saying that the Independent experts will do their work and best wait til after that is published to do good quality analysis and reach conclusions as to the value of Bushranger etc, which is exactly what he should say imho.

That's not to say Steve is not entitled to his opinon but Steve's opinion can of course turn out to be wrong too ..eg if one varible that's a key driver in the overall analysis is decently off - eg Opex has been talked about by Steve M and others- then the effect of that may easily mean that his conclusions could be plenty wrong indeed.

I expect the bears might find a way of seeing 2 to 2.5p a share as a fair value for FairBride 'ard rock - and sundry other Africa Assets - at this moment in time, Docit.. (Towards balance, bulls might find a way of seeing 5p a share as fair value granted.. but sentiment is strongly against the bulls here at this moment in time, clearly.)

Beyond just saying the large s/p fall is an overreaction; I've decided to explain the current s/p to myself as follows: The market is currently not just pricing Bushranger as zero value to xtr.l.. but alongside that, the market is also pricing further spend on Ascot/ Footrot etc drilling by xtr.l within Bushranger in 2023 - funded from African Gold revenue - with the outcome being that Bushranger is still worth zero value to xtr.l at the end of that.

The worst case in my mind is Bushranger has semi decent on sale value whatever as an exploration resource with ok already proven up copper - and gold - alongside decent potential to prove up meaningfully more copper - and gold - via further drilling campaign(s) too...and Africa gold on top of that adds a fair few 10's of more millions of share price value here too.. so a market cap of twenty million gbp ish is just too low whatever imho..

I would guess a - primary even - motivation is those analysis posts by Steve is venting anger/annoyance at CB for what he/many others might say was poor verbal guidance here.

That's somewhat understandable in my mind... CB has 'over promised' previously in my experience, and this might even end up at the top of the list of his over promising, but it's still just far too early to tell imho.

Also, Steve's free to post as he sees fit unless/until site administrators here stop him too, granted.

But I think there may easily be plenty of assumptions in Steve's analysis that if assumed differently could both individually and especially collectively result in different conclusions.. and waiting for independent expert analysis is almost always the best way to go imho.

We haven't even included Ascot drilling so far yet.. also there is much potential to prove up additional resource from the licence(s).... and the economc model will be a far more sophisticated thing than Steve's analysis too.
Last, but far from least, those 'here for Bushranger only' have had extraordinarily little respect for Africa Gold as a rule here, from the get go... and that in itself is worth decently more than the current share price, imho..

I value xtr's Africa Gold at 2.5p minimum and up to 5p maximum.

I'm all for using revenue from that for an additional targeted drilling programme at Ascot, as there could easily be plenty more to discover there. (Indeed I'd be gutted if they didn't look to better understand Ascot as it could be transformational) And what we have discovered so far there has yet to be even counted in the running total size of the resource.

I'm fine being patient here, especillay as I'm bullish to very bullish on POC for the medium and long term.

Generally, from years of playing the game, I find the answer is usually somewhere in the middle of how good it might appear and how bad it appear at various peak and trough points thru the journey....

Plenty of anger and angst playing out around the xtr.l s/p in the last two days, somewhat understandably, granted.

But I'd encourage people to take some thinking time to look rationally at the assets xtr.l has:

As Andrew says : ''The crazy thing is, we have now got a very big copper resource with a great 0.6mt near surface Cu.''

And, very importantly too, we have a Fairbride 'Ard rock gold revenue stream in the process of fully kicking in over the coming months, that will last for many years and should be worth 2.5p to 3p a share on its own, by bearish - not bullish as 5p plus bullishly imho - definition.

Also, bad news was priced in a lot at the previous 3 odd p levels too.

So, I believe there's a considerable overreaction here and the s/p has gone to too low a level now ... and when things calm down I'll be looking to add some shares to my holding here.

Part of what CB originally assumed to be 'Racecourse' subsequently became 'Ascot', let's not forget. Therefore some might say the cumulative of those two together should be taken as a fair comparison versus 2mt.. so, when Ascot is announced too, if we get to 1.3 or 1.4mt copper- and some gold too - cumulatively that would be a decently less damning for eg
