Kooba re your planned strategy, assuming some of your nominated shares are accepted and subsequently cancelled in the tender process, when would you expect to receive the monies and would you anticipate any delay in clearing that might prevent you trading for example on the opening bell the day after ?
Nigel Pickett possibly considered it’s about time he was rewarded now and still have 60% of his holding for future growth. There’s a multitude of reasons he could wish to liquidate for.
The fact is there’s really no solution for giving capital back on a business that’s valued on cash that doesn’t have a downside. Special dividend do crashes the price XD but same shares in issue. Tender gives back less but cancels shares meaning potentially more responsive to news. A hybrid of the two netts out the same really.
Why would they you clown?

Kooba you have to remember I have been invested far longer than you. When the Samsung case came along I was pleasantly surprised and at times got very excited about the numbers then remembered if it was that certain…..where was the big money? The big money knew the likelihood of a huge payout and didn’t believe the hype as others did.
It was all too easy and too good to be true and in some ways it’s not helped the company because by hook or by crook their reputation has been tarnished.
I genuinely don’t think the company did anything wrong but I’m sure they’d do it differently next time to keep expectations in check. Of course you can argue it was their responsibility to do so first time round but not everyone is perfect plus they were in a game with Samsung of call my bluff.
I’ll be glad when this action is done.
I must suffer from sadomasochism - every time I put him on filter my curiosity gets the better of me! I’d just rather he contributed opinion like every one else rather than comment un-humourlessly on every one else’s coattails. They add nothing to the discussion at any point. And never has.
Thanks.
So he’s potentially going to take out a million quid. We all have personal circumstances.
Nothing in life is guaranteed but he has a chance to take out some money now without further share price erosion is he tried to sell the same volume on the open market- for less.
That will leave him with a significant holding to hopefully profit from handsomely in future.
Nothing to see here unless you are that way inclined of course.
Regarding other discussions on perspective , I was incorrect the other day re my avg. I just checked my SIPP and it's 0.1958696pps. I'll be taking the tender and see it as low risk for me despite potentillay ending up on the wrong side of a trade.
The remaining risk is down to whether or not we believe the company will be cash positive in FY25 and if the tech is going to end up in mobiles in 2026 with the possibility of another announcement on a 3rd QD player sooner and maybe even a rabbit out of a hat.
I'm going back to work now. I have an execution statement to complete.
