The biggest boost for EVs is when they are at comparable prices. As the economy does well and wages are increased with more disposable and EVs get cheaper, sure as eggs is eggs it will be. However I thought Vauxhall might have sorted it with the little Corsa EV but 25k for a Corsa is twice what it is worth imo. Unless the main players get cheaper and quick, I think the Chinese makers will flood the UK like Japan did with the motorcycle industry back in the 60s. Not the only issue, but a big one.

Money seems to be coming back in to the market in general. Even my couple of dog investments are back on the up and my PF in general seems to have found the bottom and is now on the rise, Some ways to get to get to break even yet, and then hopefully this year in to profit. I believe if you have picked the right stocks, then its just the timing which is then crucial as to when to buy or cash in. I still feel I have the right mix and maybe my biggest lesson has been patience, Time will tell, but a good start to the year.

The DOW looks like it will open with another near 1% down start on the day and the dollar is heading down already. Could we see $1600 an ounce today?

POG is $100 an ounce more than it was in November and yet we are at the same SP. Now if anybody would have put that on the board they would have been called a lunatic. So frustrating.

Yep, the MMs know that Q4 is going to be a good end of year quarter result. POG at $1575 to cash that gold in and so they drop the SP again. This is not fair value or imo a fair market. AIM seems to ,make it up as it goes along, as long as it makes money. I think a lot of people have left and or are put off AIM which is not good for anybody.

SP 500 and the Dow heading towards a 1% drop or more, so should be a great day for POG.

So could be circa 20 million dollars sold after AISC this quarter? And the SP is down on the quarter by 20% ish. Makes no sense. Bit woozy from my pain meds so maybe totally wrong here. If so apologies.

I may be wrong, but I think at this level HZM is different, it won't be so much wether you will make a profit. Just at what point you jump ship with that profit.

I hear you. I may be a forced seller in the New year, circumstance out of my control. The damage hopefully will not be that great and I will be able to hold on long enough to see a profit. Having held on for 2 years and then be forced to sell at a loss would be a double hit for me. Hopefully I will be able to ride it out by selling one or to assets that will cover the costs and not my investments. Hey ho, I've lost friends over the years that I'm sure would love to be sat here now wrestling with these problems.

Thanks Was, they say never fall in love with a stock, and I have been investing for about 2 year now, and learning all the time. I have 4 stocks and believe in all of them, what I have found is my idea of time has had to be rather more elastic than my faith. If that makes sense? I have only sold one stock at a loss although they are all at a loss at the moment, and even though I sold it I think it will come good but the time is further down the road than I initially thought. So may buy back there at a later date. Glad your loss didn't sink you. A lesson for all. Only use what you can afford to lose.

Yep great price hike to wake up to. Let's hope it closes out 2019 above the $1500 dollars and continue s to rise in the New year. Looking at historic trends, it should continue into the first couple of months.

It would be nice to close out 2019 over 4p which is where I bought most of my shares. Been a rough old year for many on the investment front.

I agree, China seems to be romping ahead with the drive to produce EV and I recommended a look at the MGZS to someone on the bb the other day. Produced where? You guessed it China and starting at around 20 k with subsidies and giving a range of 160 miles. It will make no difference to those invested here, where the vehicles are made, the dem for Nickel is only going one way, and hopefully the SP will follow suit. As regards to numbers. I honestly haven't a clue, but I do know I was getting next to nothing from the banks for my hard time earned. And as an aside, negative interest is just around the corner.

Seriously though, a good end to the year and a lot to look forward to. I notice Vauxhall are advertising their fully electric Corsa. A mass market car that will lead others to follow quickly on their heels. I think we will all be surprised at the speed of the EV rollout. I think the price is a big issue for your average income as most up to now have been expensive 4x4s or high end cars. The Corsa is at the cheaper end so the numbers will follow. IMO. GLA
