RE: GGP vs Antipa:RioJV vs Telfer1 Jul 2018 09:49
Good morning all. Thank you. In the Solg days, there was a chap that paid 10p for his stock. He was very bitter. Solg did a placing at 1.5p with a mkt cap of £8m prior to obtaining the critical Environment permit. At Hole1 and 2, the share price reacted and one can see the RNS history & SP action on the London Stock Exchange page [Icon tab News Analysis]. Well, from simple maths, the mkt cap had reached almost the same level as GGP*s at the time of the 1st drill hole result [Pls check].One has to understand that at 10p, it had taken in quite a bit of RNS news already. I think from the way, it was said, the chap must have sold his shares. The Solg sp went on to 14.65p [1st part of the journey].
The moral of the story? All the anti and negatives must have got to the chap which touched on all the old acorns that is norm. So, to actually know what one has bought is a help. One can never know everything but via constant research and being up-to-date, one can at least have a insight as things play out.
I do feel for the people who lost out as they may not know what they actually bought, how much it was potentially worth etc. Today, Solgold has found 1.08Bt @0.68%Cu [Bt stands for billion tonnes at 0.68% Cu copper and it is on its way or is at Tier 1 status. I missed out which Solg presentation - it was the May 2017 one. The stats are in that pres..
Was it spot on? Yes, Solgold gave the modelling from the early days ie that it would be potentially 1-2 Bt tonnes at a slightly higher grade. This MRE came out in 3 Jan 2018 and the updated MRE is expected later. They are targeting the higher grade areas to bring up the grade from observation.
So, Tier 1 mines will start from the 1Bt type of figure and the grades for copper and gold is one that is commercially set by the industry although falling.
For GGP, I still do not know yet because land package does not necessarily mean the whole piece of land is filled with mineralisation. In the case of Telfer, there are reefs and veins. In Solgold*s case it is a porphyry so different geo system. It is the STRIKE that is important to find out how big it is. It needs a geo modelling to know how big but that is not available. However, from GGP, they did talk of modelling otherwise they would NOT have thought it might go down further ie mineralisation.
In conclusion, of course, to find a Tier 1 potential is something ideal because that would cause a re-rate as Solgold has shown in its presentations of other explorers depending on mkt conditions.
At this stage, one needs MORE data but certainly, the other projects are large and have potential. So, if everyone co-operates and shares the info, at least everyone will get to know. The 4 parts GGP posted is
Of course, if one bought GGP at around the early days, there is no problem. However , there are many co*s out there, which one will be the next ASOS, Fevertree, Solg or the next SXX?
Not so easy as it needs a lot of factors and there may be hiccu
