I felt that there should be an honest and candid account of REM-KDNC. Many thought that this co would NOT survive the aftermath of the lithium downturn. Blogger/s called time for this co but thankfully and by God*s grace, this co has made a comeback. I laughed that good news came like buses, first the EMH news, then BCN and then Amapa. Oh, I was well aware what was the hole-up. The give-away was the subject matter of Courts. However, the creditors hands are now very much weakened [English understatement] as they have become "UNSECURED CREDITORS."
I very much hope that from NOW ONE, investors will take note that in the TELLING:
MR LENIGAS HAS NOT PROMISED X OR Y AT THIS STAGE.
MR MOZARIA HAS NOT PROMISED X OR Y EITHER NOR SUCKLING - just in case.
One never knows as folks tend to get carried away on forums as is norm. Best that folks are realistic and manage what is best and right for them and their families.
ZAMIN
As one knows, the owner of Zamin was a metal trader and successful. He was part of high society in London etc. Then, he bought Amapa. Shortly after , the price of IRON ORE fell to some $40/tonne and even touched below that. No need to say what happened next. He paid some $240m.
Motley Fool has written an article on another co in the mining sector and said that COMMODITY PRICES are something that one can NEVER GUARANTEEE and Zamin is testament to that.
It is a great blessing that China has been buying iron ore and the price was something unexpected. I had checked IRON ORE FUTURES, 3 MTHS, 6 MTHS and so forth. The high price has kept up and hopefully it will keep up.
It used be such fun at REM plc. Barksy1 used to ask a chap who was in the investment world when the overhang would clear. He underestimated the timing so everyone had to wait a while. Names like BorrowfromMummy, TooHotToHandle were some of the name of the time. And, there used to be such a BUZZ, like an REM family and everyone was excited because Sonora was really big - Lenigas*s skill is in the identification of world class asset eg Sonora. If one looks at the pic, one would see grey everywhere and no one would think it is the world*s largest. TURNED OUT TO BE CORRECT.
There are many risks to mining so hopefully, we pray that this time, everyone will have a safe journey.
I felt it is right to put THINGS RIGHT with so much X done to both D.L*s name and the board of KDNC. I did not know of REM when DL first reversed the shell in. On the Lon Sth East, they used to do ding dong every day between one who wanted Greenland to come up and the other Sonora. Then, came the daily "placing" scarers - I was a bit green then. Now, I have heard the same acorn that I am now immune to this.
So, that*s how I came to know and decided to have a look - TOP CHAT at the time.
I will turn in now and hope for the best for all legacy holders. I have to say that DL & the board have been very big hearted. Many co*s have gone under.
