RE: KOD: SP Angel Conference Call with Kodal Minerals today, Thur 11.2.2115 Mar 2021 07:25
Gazaliam,
I have other things to attend to and take my leave. As one knows, Kodal Mineral will report next when there is "material " news to issue to the market via an RNS as is norm.
In the meantime, we have taken this discussion to its very end.
FOR THE AVOIDANCE OF DOUBT:
Spot prices that you have quoted for lithium spodumene would be either from Benchmark or Fastmarkets which are data sources. I ALSO quoted Fastmarkets and they "QUALIFY" their quotations with the supply situation currently. Now, I have provided from Stockhead.com. au of Australia and what BENCHMARK themselves told the publication and again, Benchmark quotations are now also "QUALIFIED."
From my days at REM plc which was a lithium investment co, they obtained a contract with Tesla but that was under contract. Co can specifiy that contract prices are not to be "disclosed" via a legal clause. So, shareholders were never told what the contract price was. The Founder of REM plc explained that there was no OFFICIAL LITHIUM EXCHANGE either in London, Shanghai or New York.
As far as I am aware that was the situation and unless spodumene [lithium] spot CASH prices are quoted on an OFFICIAL LITHIUM EXCHANGE as exists for other markets, then it is prices which would have to cover a vast number of converters from China. One is not told by these said data co*s whether they obtain "MEAN" [statistical term] from Chinese converters via word of mouth [no legal agreements shown] or whether these converters in China are willing to show them actual legal contracts OR do Western co*s show their sales contracts? Lastly, from Benchmark, Fastmarkets, Financial Times, one is aware that there is "supply tightness" and that "prices are increasing."
Therefore, it is beyond the scope of one*s ability to contact these data co*s to ask them to disclose their hundreds of sources and the legal agreements seen or by word of mouth. As far as I am aware, in general, IF there are 100 buyers in China, say then prices could vary and there is no possibility to quote the names of the buyers WITHOUT their permission and how does one quote 100 buyers? However, there may be more as I understand there are lots of giga factories. If one want to know, then it is up to each one to CONTACT these DATA CO*s to find out more via personal DUE DILIGENCE and FURTHER RESEARCH.
With that, thank you.
Yours respectfully,

Since I saw no one posting the VoxMkt Podcast on Kodal Minerals on 11 Mar 2021, I decided to give the link and what I could make out from the podcast. However, it has led to , to and fro when ALL I DID, WAS MERELY TO QUOTE FROM THE PODCAST and DID NOT ORIGINATE ANY FIGURES ON MY OWN. How can I? I am not in the lithium industry nor am I in China and therefore hearing all this. I can only go from what is public info from KODAL MINERALS ITSELF or from a podcast on Kodal.
DYOR. IMHO.
