Looking at the presentation and RNS I do feel as if SQZ now need to prove themselves once more ... ACW et al have been living off BKR for almost the past 5 years ... time to show what you are paid to do .... otherwise, along with voting NO against the buyback I will also be seriously considering a vote against ACW / MF re-appointment too. Many deals have been done over the past 5 years whilst SQZ have sat back and accepted numerous LTIP's and awards without a single accretive acquisition.

The actual results were as I expected in general, not too good but not too bad either, just about right for what we know. The business needs more dynamics and strong leaders to push home our advantage ... step up or step back.

Remember, everyday our cash continues to build at an astounding rate .... so nothing wrong with current ops, just need to deploy our cash in an accretive way and ensure that is communicated to the market.

NB Shorters will play SQZ for all they can whilst they can ..... and continue to post here.

So why make provision ..... only if the SP was significantly lower ie <260p would it start to make sense ... why spend around, at current rate ~£100m on your own shares that add no value to the company. The cash imv should be spent on accretive development .... even adding S Eigg to our 2022 drill programme ... but not artificially enhancing the SP for the pure benefit of the BoD who, I'm sorry to say, if execute would of failed in their quest to acquire assets. Or is it to ensure their LTIP is secure by keeping the SP above 235p/s until 27th July. There are several small plays that SQZ could buy into for ~£100m adding at very least reserves and even cashflow, doesn't have to be 100% or an operator role either imo. Not even made clear if these are to be cancelled or put into treasury either !!!

As it stands, I for one will be voting AGAINST.

Assuming just £220m cash build every 4 months, plus YE 2021 balance of £218m, as a very, very basic calculation, SQZ could end the year on or around £878m CASH ...... wowww . Current MCap right now ~£966m a point SQZ need to highlight at their 10am conference call for analysts.
What is clear, Putin's conflict will ensure NBP to be well elevated into 2023 and possibly beyond too ... Germany yesterday announced their timetable to stop all oil and gas from Russia ... other EU countries will follow.

Should be no reason to raid our SP but this is AIM so it's almost a given, a few Debbie Downers mixed in, although all in all results were just about on the right-side of OK'issh. More later ....... plus we have conference call for analysts will be held later today at 10:00 am.

Agree, the swaps are awful atm given spot pricing although so long as no more have been taken out they are set to decrease quarter on quarter down to a lowly 50k in Q3 23. How much cash we have lodged as security is another question and of that how much would have been our choice, as a means to an end to massage the results in an attempt to reduce the number of XR & Labour's Windfall fingers being point at us. If we have lodged excessively, all that means is an elevated profit for 2022, hopefully come April 2023 results time, XR will have moved focus onto those dirty scoundrels know as coal producers.

It intrigues me as to why a poster has an account for 8 years, hardly posts, then as if by magic can not stop posting lengthy and sometimes not all that subtle posts. Not that it matters though.

As for BHR and IOG, no sorry, if I did I would post on their BB. Nice tactical switch btw.

Back on topic, I will be looking out for some golden nuggets within the results which will hopefully allow better accuracy in deriving forward net revenue projections.

SQZ SP didn't reach new high of ~280p until FEB this year ..... So you did well to by last Autumn at 280p.

For those that know the worth of SQZ, have your cash at the ready for tomorrow ... if they repeat the attack on SQZ as they did on KIST the other week on their results ... where they fell +10% only to finish the day almost flat.... It's all in the timing and sudden interest by never seen before posters in recent days tells me they will try it on.
I'm ready 'n' waiting to add given the opportunity. Remember, SQZ have ~40% of their MCap in cash and equivalents .... that could easily be ~50% on a bear raid. Also, there is a real chance that by Q4 SQZ could be in negative EV , that in itself is unbelievable but very, very real possibility, if so there is no way our SP will be sitting at ~400p come Q4.

NBP future for this summer are circa +15% up on May... a time when traditionally NBP's are at their year lows, that should tell you something.

I also note you mentioned last night in your post "I can’t see SQZ doubling.....", yet last month you also stated "I only hold 3 shares - HBR, SQZ and IOG and expect all of them to double this year... " at the time our SP was priced at 399p/s, so which is it. No don't bother answering that, your MO is very clear.

During the next 10 days the gas market will begin responding to the threat of Putin turning off gas supplies to EU. Come May all 'ell could break loose should EU not meet Putin's demand to pay in Rubles ( rubble) as the 30 day grace period for payments of supplied gas will of elapsed .... not to mention Putin's continued aggression in Ukraine.
Also, SQZ are free of debt and hold around ~40% of it's MCap in cash and equivalents too..... there is also a real possibility of ACW et al finally putting some of our massive cash hoard to work, or even a re-worked deal styled on BKR. Yes the visible and measurable SP drivers that SH's have been fortunate to have for the past 4 years are not around anymore, so we are to some extent, in uncharted territory atm unless you have been invested since before Nov 2017 that is !
Eigg doesn't need to be producing to add value ... a find that doubles our reserves will be massive and our SP will react accordingly. Plus SQZ have the ability, cash and resources to fast-track to production very easily and I'm sure HMG would back the development in an instant.

By your own admission you did no research before you entered JOG, what particular attracted you to SQZ.
